The NCAA just cancelled all Spring championship tournaments....including the men's & women's basketball championship tournaments.

March madness is cancelled, NBA suspended their season for at least two weeks, NHL suspended their season, MLB is expected to start a month later. It's sort of a sad thing to see Men's Volleyball discontinued since Hawaii has a really good senior class. Also, the UH baseball team has a couple of potential draftees which will miss their exposure.

Taking a step back, Hawaii should suffer significantly because of the slowdown in tourism. The national economy should take a significant hit as already evidenced by the sinking of Stock market.

I would hope that the NCAA will grant an automatic redshirt season for all student-athletes who play Spring sports to extend their eligibility by an additional year.

People in California are stockpiling on lots of sanitizing products so it's hard to find wet wipes, etc but this is when people try to take advantage of the pandemic by selling hand sanitizers as in the example below of Matt and Noah Colvin. Karma sometimes takes a while.

Coronavirus panic buying spikes after rumor of a Hawaii shipment shutdown goes viral

The above article posted on the Star Advertiser's website this morning really pisses me off. Anyone that spreads unfounded rumors like this should be put on an island or raft in shark infested waters. Also, anyone that believes those rumors WITHOUT verifying those rumors from official sources should get slapped upside the head (multiple times).

It's stuff like this that doesn't help with what's going on.
