‘X-Files’ tips a (straw) hat to iconic ’70s TV character

If #Kolchak inexplicably trends on Twitter Monday night, blame “The X-Files.”
The latest episode finds FBI special agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) interrogating a person of interest,
Guy Mann (Rhys Darby), as they hunt for a reptilian “were-monster.” Mann’s quirky attire — straw hat, seersucker jacket and cheap knit tie —
bears a striking resemblance to clothing worn by Carl Kolchak, the rumpled creature tracker played by the late Darren McGavin in the 1970s
ABC series “Kolchak: The Night Stalker.”

Re: The X-Files
dang it, eps 4 & 5 sucked, as well.
if ep 6 dgo out with a bang, I don't see it continuing in the future.
I mean ep 1 ended with the former abducted girl getting blown up by an alien craft, questions about Willias origins, etc...

Re: The X-Files
So far I've only watched up to episode 4, (Yes, I'm a week behind) but overall I've enjoyed watching all of them.
I still remember watching the X-Files from the first season back in 1993.

The X-Files: FOX Interested in Continuing Series Beyond the Revival
By Stephen Silver
February 18, 2016
When the new six-episode limited series of The X-Files was announced last year, some fans were skeptical. It had been 14 years since
the show was on and even longer since the series was considered to have been in its prime. Creator Chris Carter struggled to find another
successful series since his big hit went off the air, and longtime writer Vince Gilligan — now one of TV’s top showrunners — wasn’t going
to be involved.
But now, with one episode to go, the show has been a clear ratings success. And while nothing is official, it doesn’t appear X-Philes will
have to wait nearly as long for their favorite special agents to return.

revealed that there will be more episodes in the future.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Duchovny posted a still photo from the opening credit sequence of the show with the words "The truth is

Re: The X-Files
Anderson has aged like a fine wine. I swear I find her more attractive now than back in the day. Can't wait for the new season.
