Ever since experiencing a rat dead in a sealed bag of rice many years ago, I wash it thoroughly. How bout you?
what??

i hope you threw that bag away
He was at the bottom of the 20lb bag so I was hoping I didn't bring back the black plague after I ate 80 percent of the bag of rice.

There was a cockroach egg in my Mahatma brand rice a few months ago.

Sure, wash the rice. The bugs and rat stuff don't matter...it's cooked. I don't care for the pesticides and talcum powder though. Hahaha

Also, try soaking your rice overnight or at least a couple of hours before cooking....really ono....

No talc anymore. It's all cereal by products. You know -- the stuff that settles to the bottom of your cereal and oatmeal boxes. But still... you gotta wash. Just not too much or the grains start to crumble.
