Dr. Duc Vuong explains how the vaccine works. It creates cells which look like the virus so it will create antibodies.

I was going to post it in Coronavirus but he goes through a lot of the politics going on in this Country that's causing the pandemic to worsen in the US versus China, etc. But without really saying it directly, he does point to Trump as being the main cause of the spread.

Even as information is spread about how to stop the virus from spreading, two idiots refuse to wear masks in the House.

Well, with Trump paying more attention to his failed attempt at re-election and fomenting domestic political dissent...it's no wonder this country leads the word in infections and deaths.

Had it not been for the pandemic, Trump would possibly have served another term. But since the pandemic hit all segments of the population negatively, he lost the re-election bid. He made himself look bad by showing up in public too often with lies about the virus, turning the corner, not wearing a mask, he knows better than science, etc, etc, etc.

Two Republicans state their opinion on Trump only after he fully reveals himself and never saw the garbage before the pandemic. ie, division of the nation, blaming of the Chinese for all the problems in the US, allowing the Russians to intimidate our armed forces, disengaging all our ties to the rest of the world with the withdrawal from the Paris Accord, Iran Treaty, trade with Europe, et. al.

I whole-heatedly disagree. Trump and his Trumplicans struggled going through the last mid-term election. Georgia not only elected Biden, but elected two DEMOCRATIC senators. The turnover of many battleground states had to do with many more issues other than just the pandemic. What had Trump accomplished: a tax cut for the richest Americans, a pretend-wall between Mexico and America, and stupid trade wars? His promise to build a wall did nothing. Okay, it contributed to the deficit and 'big-government'--which are both antithetical to Republicanism. His trade wars accomplished nothing. American taxpayers bore the brunt of this war. He didn't bring any industry back to America. His promise to rebuild American infrastructure amounted to nothing. In my opinion, he only enriched himself, his family, and friends.

I question anyone who voted for El Presidente Trump and all those who still cling to stupid conspiracy theories like: Trickle-down-economics, evil-big-government, evil-socialism, climate-change-is-not-a-thing, and I-love-guns-at-any-cost. We saw these same nut jobs who bought into these conspiracy theories offending the capitol some days ago. How can these people call themselves Americans?!!! What an embarrassment it has been for those who truly wish to make America great again.

I would also like to ad that none of the Republican candidates for president were worth their pound of flesh. They all bent over and took positions of power from the Trump. What a joke.

In the mean-time, the world is still suffering for lack of leadership. This has been traditionally America's obligation for some time now.

Actually, I agree with shrek on this one. Stacey Abrams and her team in Georgia riled up the black folks to vote, I would imagine that this was in record numbers, all to vote against Trump. COVID showed how uncaring Trump is. No empathy, no remorse, no sympathies for the ill, dying and dead. As bad as he was before, I believe that this is what opened the eyes of even many Republicans. Only the most stupid still support him, all 74 million plus. Hard to believe that so many have been so deluded by that con man.

And not to forget all of the dead people voting for Biden - millions upon millions of them. And the Dominion voting machines' glitches deleting Trump votes and/or switching them to Biden. And Hugo Chavez reaching out from beyond the grave to take a slap at Trump. And the Italian government's assistance in that Dominion vote switching scheme along with the US embassy in Rome.

Thank goodness that Twitter finally silenced Trump.

Before the pandemic, I can tell you that I talked with a lot of people without casting judgements. Two lady white bartenders at my favorite burger/salad/beer sports pub said they would vote for Trump. I didn't ask, they just said so which was all cool to me because I never object to someone's right to choose. Since then, the Hotel that housed the sports pub closed and lots of people are out of a job. Hmmm, not many openings in California when most Counties are in a stay at home mode. During the summer one of the ladies that worked in a Reno restaurant told me that only 6,000 people really died of Covid-19 and that hospitals claim a higher toll to get $30K for each case. Then there was this cocktail server in the casino that asked someone if they were a Trumper because she saw him at the Trump rally in Minden. Trump had a solid base of people that was going to follow him. Trump had 75M votes, higher than Obama's record vote count. I don't know what evidence anybody has saying that Trump would not serve a second term if the pandemic had not hit. I believe that Nevada, Arizona and other states including Georgia would have gone red. Let us not forget that Andrew Yang announced that he was going to move to Georgia for the Senate runoff. Let's not forget the Yang gang who probably followed him. So, I'm not arguing the merits of not voting for Trump but just saying that Trump's base was stronger before the pandemic and there were a lot of people sitting on the fence that would likely vote for him because of a lack of interest.

Not wearing masks during the pandemic has always been associated with Trump.

While the 'fake' press has put too much focus on the circus which is Trump, most of the voters have been focusing on Trump and Republican failures. The Republicans have enabled, even owned, this wanton disregard for the law and just plain common decency. Trump and the now appropriately named Trumplicans have brought this country to the brink! Other than stacking the Supreme Court to a conservative viewpoint, what has been accomplished? Trumplicans did not build the wall at Mexico's expense. They built 25 miles mostly at the expense of the Department of Defense through misappropriated funds. All trade misadventures executed by the Trumplicans have failed. American production has not increased at all in the past 4 years. We simply paid more for the same old stuff from other countries.

To say that Nevada, Arizona and Georgia would have gone red is obvious. Those are red states. However, those red states had a conscience. They recognized evil. The whole, vacationing on his golf-courses during crises...watching FOX news most of the day, every day, during his term...campaigning on Air-Force-One often ($$$)...firing righteous managers because they didn't want to lie for him...inciting riots...didn't go over to well with most of the nation. To the rest of the nation...I gotta say...wake up and get educated.

I'd also add that the Trump rhetoric caused many to push back against the 'state' who made them wear masks and close their businesses. Republicans exploited this. If anything, the covid crisis strengthened his base. Trump and the Trumplicans are unscrupulous...dare I say evil?

Our relapse is small in regard to the rest of the world. Still, every infection, every death is a shame on the the nation. Why don't y'all feel the same? The politicization of this pandemic is criminal. Grow up Trumplicans. Get educated.

If you want to solve a problem, you must understand the problem.

This whole politicizing of not mask wearing to promoting truly fake news (@Trump, OAN, FOX...and simply any communication from the Trumplicans) has got to stop. The hanging Chad controversy win with GW...good. GW's altered service record...good. Trump's bone spurs...good. Iran/contra scandal...all good. Internet nerds storming the Capitol at the behest of the Commander in Chief...all good. The Republican party and its candidates have been suspect for the past 30 years. Its response to the pandemic has been typically symptomatic...not good. Get educated...people.

Today is MLK day so I decided to re-watch "The Rape of Recy Taylor" on Encore and I see Stacey Abrams as the strong AA woman who is willing to stand up for what is right just as those that came before her especially Rosa Parks as well as Recy Taylor in the documentary.

Trump is a flock up on the national level that became more evident to the common person because of Covid-19 but so are many other politicians. The Governor of California who is a Democrat followed Trump's lead and said anyone over 65 should receive the vaccine without any kind of plan so people are waiting in Christmas shopping lines to get the vaccine. In the meantime, the plan gets cancelled today because the Moderna vaccine (330,000 doses) have been held because of 10 bad reactions. We had a local politician speak to the digital newspaper and say that get the vaccine so that everybody can reopen, see people, and see friends. This really pissed me off because it will be a long while before the vaccine can be distributed to the bulk of the population and it doesn't mean that taking the vaccine will prevent the spread and it takes a month after the second booster to get enough antibodies. Politicians are useless! They should stay out of the way and not use the pandemic for personal gain.

The fact that you hated on Collin Kaepernick and promoted the legacy of Trump sans Covid-19 has me worried. I also wonder if all those posers who stormed the Capitol hadn't been set up. Honestly, I'd like to ban all guns and truly fake news outlets. Why don't you Trumplicans hate on Trump's abuse of Airforce-one? Y'all sure heaped hate on the last Commander in Chief's limited use of it.

Wear a mask, people. Main stream media isn't fake. Black lives matter is a reality. Trumplican wierdo's storming the Capitol ain't. Gawd...have I just watched a freak-show these past four years?
