Timmy Chang followed Norvell to Colorado State.cabanalane wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 5:40 am If Cooper is an Air Raid QB and not RNS, then dare I throw out the name Timmy Chang. Nevada is Air Raid, no?
Either case, Cooper should be a upgrade to CC's Read (once) and Run offense.

Well then, going back to my other reply. Bring back Norm Chow. Isn't Chow really the father of the Air Raid offense (at BYU)?

@cabanalane:
I usually post only on the high school threads, but I saw your comment on the "Recent Posts" page. I'm a UH alumnus, so I'd like to see UH succeed. Regarding bringing back Chow: Would he accept an offer to return? Has he retired from coaching? I think he's about 75 now.

You are right. Time goes by fast. I'll stop with the Chow thing.

Well, you don't have to stop. Maybe Chow would accept. We don't know.

With that Magnum PI mustache, he looks like he is 30 years old.
Re: Cammon Cooper transfer QB commits
Wikipedia says that Chow was a position coach from 1976 to 1995. He didn't ascend to OC until 1996 to 1999. BYU's pass happy offense was not his, but inherited. I also recall reading some time ago that BYU fans weren't happy when he wanted to put more running plays into the offense.cabanalane wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:14 am Well then, going back to my other reply.
