Dino Babers named Arizona OC

If this guy becomes available after 2022 (he'll enter 2022 on one of the hottest seats), would you support UH hiring him? Every passing day, Graham does not seem like the answer. There might be very little he can do to save his job past 2022. Babers played for UH and has beaten a playoff team (Clemson in 2017). Babers might not be a P5 coach but has proven his worth at the Go5 level. If Graham and Babers both lose their jobs after 2022, would you stand behind UH hiring Dino and bringing him home?

Both he and his wife have "Hawaii Connections" but there's no need to "return home" because home is not in Hawaii. Building from scratch from the bottom up for UH can pan out to be two losing seasons. Then fans would be calling for to fire Dino Barber. That would be horrible for him as a coach.

He might not be for long. He’ll likely need more than a bowl season to stay beyond next year. And since we ain’t firing Graham before 2022, there is a good chance that both the UH job and Babers become available in late 2022.

Actually, I would consider Babers for UH since he is an established FBS coach with Hawaii ties. Syracuse is not one of the "haves" in P5 so he has been on the hot seat for a while.

I do know one thing -- AZ's Noah Fifita is one of the BEST QB's in the country. They lit things up last year. Babers really has a high bar to follow.
