Take away Dae Dae's 2 runs and this game is an embarrassing blowout

I felt we needed to run to win. When Dae Dae went down it was over.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Didn’t we have a bye week to prepare for this game? Sure doesn’t seem like it!

At this point I see UH possibly going 2-4 with possible wins over NMSU and UNLV.
This team is jekyll and hyde don't know which one will show up, no consistency and special teams is
killing us.

Schager looks soooo bad in this game. Falling the wrong way, too slow to get away from the rush, wrong decision on the passes, not getting rid of the ball instead of taking the sack, etc., etc., etc.

That’s bad play calling not orchestrating easy completions to get him, or even Cordeiro in past games, into any sort of groove.

Guys...we had to deal with a true freshman quarterback who suffered 4 sacks and delivered 4 interceptions. Schager is a little (a lot) green with lots of potential. This combination can often lead to disaster. The only thing that surprised me in this game was another blocked punt. Dae Dae ripping off almost 200 yards made me smile. Defense looked solid but were relied on way too much.

Yeah, I agree to a degree. He has a lot of room to improve over the course of his time at UH. What seem to be missing was a quarterback coach to have him go through the cone drill, stepping up in the pocket, telling him how to adjust during game time, timing patterns, sit down routes, going for Calvin instead of picking up the check down receiver who was wide open and so on. It's a good game for him to move forward.

On another note, geez, three blocked punts halfway in the season? Is that an FBS best so far?

You might just be able to beat Wyoming in Laramie. We're THAT pathetic. Championship caliber defense with a junior high school level, at best, offense.

UH was competitive in this game. You knew it wasn't going to be controlled like the UCLA or OSU game. Lot of key injuries in the game with Chevan and Cameron Lockridge out. Then after two long runs by Dae Dae, he's out. I like the fact that Jonah got the sack and he's good chasing laterally but it would be interesting if they move him around from edge to middle and back but I'm glad they kept him at DE instead of TE because I think we may see him on Sunday. Okay, I get it that we didn't want to have Romeo getting a long punt return but they cannot have another blocked punt for the rest of the season. Horrendous. If we play like we did in the first half of the game, we have good games coming up for the rest of the conference.

I thought that too until I watched this game. Your defense could be the difference.

It reminds me Jeff Sydner's Heisman campaign. Michael Carter ended up with more yards because everyone knew the ball was going to #26 (Sydner).
