Darn. Was hoping we would win a bowl game and graham would get an offer to go somewhere else next season.

It’s like all the 5-6 teams wanna win today. Oh well next time. Damn we should’ve won against San Jose state and San Diego state.

LARAMIE, WYO. >> The University of Hawaii football team’s season appears to have come to an end.

There appears to be enough bowl-eligible FBS teams to fill the 82 slots in the 41 bowl games.

The Warriors, who defeated Wyoming today to improve to 6-7, did not meet the bowl-eligibility requirement of a .500 or better regular-season record. They had hoped to earn a berth if the 41 bowls could not fill all their slots. There were 75 eligible teams entering this weekend. But by late this afternoon, 83 teams had met the .500-or-better requirement.

The Warriors have the slightest chance if at least two bowl-eligible teams decline invitations. In 2016, a 6-7 UH team earned a berth in the Hawaii Bowl.

For now, the Warriors are planning to return to Honolulu on Sunday morning in preparation for the offseason.

Really don’t think anybody is going to decline playing. After all the Covid bull crap for the last two years. You don’t park a team on the bench.

I agree. If this was last year, then UH has a chance to be invited but looks like every bowl eligible team is gonna play.

Yeah even a 6-6 LSU team, without a coach will play in a bowl
LSU: Following tonight's win over Texas A&M, Ed Orgeron announced he will not coach the team in a bowl game. Offensive line coach Brad Davis will do so. O says he's headed to the beach (Destin)....tomorrow.

There's a reason the phrase "too little, too late" is a thing. Fun to end the season on an upswing and certainly when you look at the schedule and the fact that we were one of if not the last team to have fans, 6-7 is not terrible. Take the momentum and build for next year.

The fact is even when they opened up, we still don’t have fans. They have grossly over-priced the product. And we made the team impossible to follow by over-charging PPV so nobody watching the road games. Every year, less are interested in this product. Hawaii folks don’t tell you with their mouths what they thinking. But they sent a clear message by leaving that practice field stadium half full.

We deserve a regular size D-1 stadium and pricing structure that fills it. Price for sell outs. And if we keep PPV, set limits on the contract regarding pricing even if it means a smaller contract. We can find a local news station to produce the road game if necessary. They won’t turn it down. I bet you could find volunteers. Send Guy Hagi. We need to keep control of the product. What is being done now is killing it off from a fan perspective.

And Ching field will not achieve our goals. Hawaii football benefits the entire state. Gives us something to be collectively proud about. Promotes Polynesian pride. This is not an easy task to do correctly. So let’s find some people on the political level that can get it done and support them. Tired of excuses.

Really? Wyoming/Tulsa in the Hawaii Bowl? How many people will be coming in to see the game? How many people will actually watch the game on tv?

If Wyoming actually plays in the Hawaii Bowl, I doubt any more than MAYBE 200 show up. Just being honest here. The fanbase is pretty P.O.ed at both Bohl AND Burman (our athletic director).
