Re: Will UH Be Bowl Eligible?
Oh, side note here, there are 83 eligible teams for 82 bowl slots. So, one school will be left out.
Also, the Redbox Bowl, played in the San Francisco bay area (might be in San Jose), was cancelled for a second year in a row a few weeks ago. Couldn't get a sponsor or a T.V. deal. Had it been played, it's a safe bet UH would've gotten an invitation to the Hawaii Bowl.

I might go if they Groupon the thing. Wait, that is Christmas eve. I would like to. But going to be TV for me. But congrats to the Mountain people who get to enjoy our warm weather. I consider them the home team. Tulsa was only in the conference during those crazy 12 team days that imploded the whole thing.wyokie wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 11:49 amIf Wyoming actually plays in the Hawaii Bowl, I doubt any more than MAYBE 200 show up. Just being honest here. The fanbase is pretty P.O.ed at both Bohl AND Burman (our athletic director).shrek2 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 11:16 am Really? Wyoming/Tulsa in the Hawaii Bowl? How many people will be coming in to see the game? How many people will actually watch the game on tv?

Actually there were 16 teams from 1996-98 before the "WAC/MWC Divorce" that happened officially on July 1, 1999.UnBiasFan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 12:01 pmI might go if they Groupon the thing. Secondly Tulsa and Hawaii were in the WAC together from 1996 to 2004 when Tulsa left for Conference USA.

Tulsa actually had a decent program over the years. I had a few bets here and there on them back in my betting days. Probably completed one of my parlays.

I agree. Wyoming will not be in the Hawaii Bowl. The game would be unwatchable after the utter destruction at your house by us. I'll be a little bit meaner: Wyoming won't play in a bowl this year. Who would want to watch? Certainly not the Wyoming faithful per your prediction.

Memphis has accepted an invitation to the Hawaii Bowl which makes it more interesting than Tulsa. Wyoming want to go to a game. I guess it depends on who is selected from the MWC as to whether it's a Bowl game that may have an audience.

Bohl wants to go.

I personally don't want Wyoming in the Hawaii Bowl because of the lack of nationwide audience. Memphis has a history of competing for Conference title.

Could happen. So far as of 11/29, there are 22 teams that will have new coaches in 2022. With the carousel in fast motion to fill vacancies prior to the Dec 15th LOI day, I wouldn't be surprised to see 30+ school changing Head Coaches and some teams with no Head Coach, Limited remaining staff or a new coach and staff more interested in recruiting than a lower end bowl.
Heck over night Fresno St HC already changed his Twitter to Washington

Ok thanks! I just saw it in the advertiser and those in the portal won’t be able to contribute if they accept to play in the bowl.uhwarriors wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 1:41 pmNothing official yet, but Tsai just tweeted this:
