The most risk adverse politician I've ever seen.

At least I won't have bought tickets AND pay for a PPV this week.

The Governor will not explain his motivation on not allowing fans because its in his own self interest to have a thriving tourist industry where he has a place waiting for him after his retirement from public service but he sees no philanthropic requirement on his part to do any more than what will put $$ in his pocket. That's all good considering that tourism is the biggest (possibly only) money maker in the state but the spirit of Hawaii has to thrive and he's taking that away by not allowing at least (AT LEAST) 500 family and friends. Common Ige, do the right thing for the people of Hawaii!

Not really, he's afraid of his own shadow.

Yep. How can you allow unmasked, possibly unvaccinated and not socially distanced fans at youth sports and not allow a controlled environment with vaccinated, masked and socially distanced fans at UH games?

If I was Governor for a day … I would bring all loyal fans 70 plus age in the stands and on sideline with one caregiver … and have the team play for our kupuna

Finally a tiny bit of sanity! The marching band found out this morning it is being allowed to be at the game. All band members and staff are vaccinated and will be wearing masks except when playing. They've been allowed to rehearse for a month, but were not allowed in for the first game. Baby steps, but still way too slow.

Good question. So far I haven't seen anything on either of those groups. But you would think they fall into the same category as the marching band, if they've all been vaccinated, etc.

Spectrum Cable experiencing some intermittent cable TV issues since 10AM this morning (with no estimated resolution time)....so might consider making alternative plans to view tonight's game (if you have Spectrum Cable).
