*****OFFICIAL SAN JOSE ST vs. HAWAII GAME THREAD*****

This team is too talented to lose like this. Graham should have left in the off-season

I never seen that much dropped passes ever in a game…by both teams…Damn Chevan could’ve at least gave his receivers a chance in the endzone..Gonna be a long year..Maybe a win against NMSU or UNLV ..But I’m not guaranteeing it..Defense played good against the run ..Our D still getting burnt..If wasn’t for dropped passes we would’ve been torched all night long…OC needs a change ASAP …They said Bo was calling most of the plays last year..I’m thinking they just said that to give him credit…That’s why UCF wanted GJ Kinne

I’m keeping my mouth shut this time. But this game spoke for itself.

Our offense was so bad, we don’t know how to spike the ball

people will hate me for this.
But after three games, I think we've seen all that Cordiero can do. Average QB, sub-par receivers and oline. Meaning, our offense no can. Even with San Jose's three man rush, QB was still under pressure.

Oh well. I guess it is written. So many seniors I never thought it would be like this.

Chevan was pressured by the 3 man rush because he holds the ball way too long. I thought online was ok. He throws high and low balls. Drops could be cause receivers aren’t expecting to catch them at the numbers. Just my thoughts.bigislandkurt wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 10:25 pm people will hate me for this.

Were we watching the same game? Qb pressure was not an issue.bigislandkurt wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 10:25 pm people will hate me for this.

This offense doesn’t suit Chevan! He’s a run and shoot qb. Not this run and gun crap. Remember in 2019. He was throwing td after td against San Jose.poidog wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 10:51 pmWere we watching the same game? Re: *****OFFICIAL SAN JOSE ST vs. HAWAII GAME THREAD*****
I expected the Hawaii defense is going to have to carry this team, until the Offense gets going. Last year wasn't really a full season to really get the new scheme installed by OC G.J. Kinne and HC Todd Graham at game speed. Then add a even less experienced OC in Bo Graham this season, after G.J. Kinne departed for UCF. Anyone can tell the defensive coaching staff has more experience and it translates to the field. This is why I expected an 6 wins 7 loss team at the end of the season, the defense and maybe even the special teams will get the team those 6 wins. But hopefully the Hawaii Offense can get it firing in all cylinders by mid season or 6 wins might be all we are going to get in year 2 of Todd Graham as Hawaii HC.

CC is at less than 50% passing after 4 games….
WRs are open, so scheme is sound
Time for a change at QB

That is the only game he played well in!couz808 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 11:26 pmThis offense doesn’t suit Chevan! He’s a run and shoot qb. Not this run and gun crap. Remember in 2019. Only a blind homer would hate you for this. Chevan is okay and he’s had some big wins over the past few years but as a true passer, he leaves much to be desired. I don’t know that he’s the problem but I’m also not sure he’s the solutionbigislandkurt wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 10:25 pm people will hate me for this.
