*****OFFICIAL PORTLAND STATE v. HAWAII GAME THREAD*****

Post by uhwarriors »

Go Rainbow Warriors! Beat the Vikings!

I predict we cover the 26 point spread. Calvin Turner gets loose and has a field day. Cordeiro will hit deep balls to Cephus, Mardner and Bowens. Solo Turner will take one to the house. Hunter will have close to 100 yards rushing and James Phillips will get to flash his speed a couple of times.

I am not feeling it. Seventy bucks to watch a scrimmage on the practice field without fans. Sorry, I don’t care for this. Important game for the team however. I hope this is a major bounce back. I wish them well.

Meh...this is not a gambling forum. PSU are FCS championship contenders. It's as high a quality competitor as most of the MWC. I am looking for some of the magic of Hawaii's last, abbreviated season. Portland's a solid FCS competitor. I expect us to win, but I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us. Hopefully, last week's opener was a wake-up call.

Coach Graham, Welcome to Hawaii Football. The Hawaii fans are tired of National TV blowout losses against quality opponents. Hawaii fans expect competitive well coached games and definitely not losing to FCS opponents, period! COVID 19 is something the entire world is contending with, so that's not something to use as a crutch for poor coaching and planning. Failing to plan, is planning to fail. Portland State on the road at Hawaii should be a easy win, after that embarrassing performance against UCLA.

I'm feeling a good game from Calvin, possibly 200+ all purpose yards from multiple positions but I don't see a big game yet from Chevan in passing, possibly more from his running, maybe 75 yards. I'd like to see Jared Smart have a good game and Hunter show that he can pick up blocks besides run. Go Bows.

I hope to see who I think is their best player a lot. Their punter.

Game not over yet. Anyways, I kind of thought their defense was pretty solid last week and it wasn’t just us. This game against the SEC kind of confirms that.

That running back for UCLA, Charbonnet, looked like a pro against the LSU defense. Our defense is not that bad. The Bruin run-game was just a monster.
