Re: Baylor OLB transfer Solomon Turner commits
what I take away from his highlights is that he is a string player. Good size, good speed, hard to bring down, hits well and runs through tacklers. He is a Graham type of player very physical. Keep the speed and add 30 ibs and you have a very physical LB.

Can you just imagine the trouble that Robert Kekaula's going to have if Calvin Turner comes back next year and having Solomon Solo Turner on the team at the same time?

I think Kekaula and Miano's time has past in the broadcasting booth. I actually like both of them (and want to see Miano back with UH Football), but it's time for a change.

Yeah, he's one lazy SOB. Lon Simmons, hall of famer, who used to call a lot of Pro sports in the Bay Area was rumored to show up 4 hours before game time to study statistics on ball players. He used to spend a lot of time in Maui. A lot of announcers watch hours and hours of sports on tv not only because they love it but its also their job. Kekaula needs to spend at least a small portion of the time these professionals do, to do a reasonable job. Wasn't that Calvin Hunter? Lucky Miano is there to correct him.

Yup....Kekaula is starting to bring back some not-so-fond memories of Larry Price's OC16 later high school football game broadcasts (when Kanoa Leahey played the role of Rich Miano).
