Wide Receivers

Post by Relicanth1 »

With so many new additions to the WR group who do you think starts this year?
I assume Jared Smart, Melquise Stovall, and probably Rico Bussey, but who would be the fourth, Mardner, Ealy, Victor?

Hey. It's hard to say with a new coaching staff and offense. Heck, we have a new starting quarterback as well. Things like chemistry and luck have a lot to do with it. Also, what's our opposing defense like? Anything's possible. It's a new day for Warrior football. ;-)

I think you will see a hybrid offense that mixes some R&S and spread. Starters will be determined be the teams we play, the opponents personnel and match ups and the type of D the other teams play, man, press or zone. For R&S plays you will see receivers who know the R&S. For the spread you will see bigger and faster receivers. The defenses will have a problem matching up with what we put on the field and all the different formations in a hurry up offense.

QB play will be the key.
