I'm with Duke on this one. It is important that locals understand the seriousness of quarantine. It is the reason places like Hawaii have such a low rate of infection and death. The same is true here. This was the first country to identify a covid19 case outside of China and it is ranked one of the lowest in Asia in terms of infection and deaths. Like it or not, incarceration is quarantine.

However, this ignorance is understandable given national rhetoric. I've had to unfriend some Facebook pals over the nonsense they spread. The whole...sheeple..fake news...hoax...nonsense has provoked many to disbelieve science. It's just like the flue. It's not and the world needs to recognize.

Do student athletes have a hard time? I had friends who would get paid to study with athletes and tutor them with all their classes. Shouldn't the athletic department shoulder some of the blame? Don't they know where their key scholarship players are during this pandemic?

I hope it works out for the best for this athlete. Good luck.

I am in high risk catagory. So if Solo gives me the virus I am as good as dead.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

But you didn't and he didn't give you the virus so... how about we toss all these hypotheticals out the window and not skewer a man for them?

There has to be a valid reason for his actions. Unfortunately, we may never hear about them due to privacy rights.

Here is another example of two people who were arrested for quarantine violations and their bail was set at $2000 instead of $4000 set for Solo Vaipulu.

How come? Hmmm, privacy rights? Can't anyone go down to district court to listen in on cases? I only knew of sexual assault cases to be closed to the public.
