I would think that lots if not all of the teams will be tested weekly. They sure won't be quarantining for 14 days. :D

I would think there would need to be a minimum number of practice days before a team could play a game. I don’t think the team could meet for the first time on game day. Maybe in baseball. But not football. Too dangerous to just show up and go to battle.

SI article explains how the dominoes may fall with postponing football in the fall. First the MAC, then Big 10 followed by Pac 12. After that all FBS will have to do the same.

Under the current State rules, a visiting football team and staff would have to quarantine. Similarly if UH plays a road game, they would have to quarantine when returning home. In either case, a season couldn't happen.

Under the proposed rules, visiting teams would need a clear test within 72 hours of arrival. The problem is that getting 100 tests done and getting the test results back in time for a travel squad and staff is highly unlikely. So what happens if some of a team doesn't get a clear result or any result? It means they are short handed. If they are too short handed, would they even want to play? Lots of logistical issues if the MWC decides to actually play. But I don't think there will be fall football.

With the logistics being what they are in Hawaii, I'm actually surprised Hawaii hasn't cancelled their fall sports season yet.

I would actually enjoy going to Aloha Stadium in the spring. And for a team to play a season and then just have a few months off and go back to it would be terrific for the new coach.

Are the ducks starting to line up for postponing Fall football? Espn.com article:
Espn.com wrote:Sources: Power 5 talking about no fall football

Commissioners of the Power 5 conferences held an emergency meeting on Sunday, as there is growing concern among college athletics officials that the upcoming football season and other fall sports can't be played because of the coronavirus pandemic, sources told ESPN.

Several sources have indicated to ESPN that Big Ten presidents, following a meeting on Saturday, are ready to pull the plug on its fall sports season, and they wanted to gauge if commissioners and university presidents and chancellors from the other Power 5 conferences -- the ACC, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC -- will fall in line with them.

Safe bet it will. Never thought I'd see the day no college football is played in the Fall. Damned virus! On the bright side, BYU won't be able to win any games. :D
