Recruits?
Re: Recruits?
I say it will be pretty quite on the recruiting front tomorrow. Probably sign the kapolei recruit. Graham probably waiting for the transfers or late qualifiers since we sooo behind.

Re: Recruits?
I'm hearing we only have a few schollies bc of Elestie, Kapoi , Tufaga and a few new scholarship players will count towards 2020 ...hoping for a CB and DE.
Be humble and confident in yourself and all things you do.

Re: Recruits?
Hoping that the UH coaching is also considering potential preferred walk-on (PWO) offers to some of these local HS '20 prospects....
- Ath (RB/SB/DB) Tanner Moku, Kamehameha-Kapalama (already with a PWO offer from Wazzu)
- OLB Micah Lilo, Kamehameha-Kapalama (already with a PWO offer from Nevada)
- SB Koali Nishigaya, Saint Louis (already with a PWO offer from Wazzu)
- OT Nalu Liftee, Saint Louis
- OG Josiah Enos, Castle
- WR Carter Kamana Jr., 'Iolani (younger brother of current UH player Noa Kamana)
- WR Zavier Ceruti, Campbell
- DE Tyger Fa'avi, Thompson HS (Alabama) - originally from Ewa Beach (Campbell)
- DL Ma'a Pase, Radford
- DL Manu Penitani, Mililani
- ILB Legend Matautia, Punahou
- Ath (SB/SS/FS) Nainoa Machado, Waianae
- Ath (SS/PR/KR) Shepherd Kekahuna, Roosevelt - had 3 KO return TDs and 2 Punt return TDs last season
Just a reminder that.....six (6) former walk-ons (Kalen Hicks, Kaimana Padello, Kana'i Pinanco, Azia Se'ei, Jason-Matthew Sharsh, Ta'aga Tu'ulima) were starters for most of this past season.

Re: Recruits?
Even if Wilkerson flips to Wazzu, it sure seems like UH is over-recruiting WRs.....since already got 3 receivers (Haasenritter, Mokiao-Atimalala, Turner) signed on the Early Signing Date.....and now with 2 more WR commits (Zion Bowens & Dayton Toney)….totaling 5 new receivers.kapakahi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:26 pm https://twitter.com/daytontoney/status/1224860489127206912

If UH is still looking to sign WR Riley Wilson too (also from Prestonwood Christian HS, Plano, TX), then would total 6 new receivers.....so would be really surprised if Stribling was signed too.

Just hoping that this is not a package deal.....since should reserve spots for higher priority recruiting needs (CB, DL, OT, RB, and QB)…..instead of WR or even ILB. https://twitter.com/daytontoney/status/1222149602373251072

Other than Abe & Yoro & Santa Cruz, the rest of the staff just started evaluating potential prospects within the past week or so.

Now getting 6 new receivers (not counting Wilkerson)..... ....but no CB nor DE (or DT)…..nor another QB, RB and/or OT.kapakahi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:40 pmhttps://twitter.com/_Rileywilsonn/status/1224868476482924552kapakahi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:35 pmEven if Wilkerson flips to Wazzu, it sure seems like UH is over-recruiting WRs.....since already got 3 receivers (Haasenritter, Mokiao-Atimalala, Turner) signed on the Early Signing Date.....and now with 2 more WR commits (Zion Bowens & Dayton Toney)….totaling 5 new receivers.kapakahi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:26 pm https://twitter.com/daytontoney/status/1224860489127206912

Maybe Wilson will get a look at OLB/SS instead of WR.
Hmmm....???
Re: Recruits?
Tanner Moku - Gatorade Hawai`i Boys Track and Field Player of the Year 2019. He looked fast in the games I saw him play this past season. Former Rainbow Warrior Sam Moku's son. I believe that he will flourish here too, and not because I know his father.kapakahi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:14 pm Hoping that the UH coaching is also considering potential preferred walk-on (PWO) offers to some of these local HS '20 prospects....

Looks like Masaniai tripped to San Diego State this past weekend after all.....and will now be playing for the MWC opposition.... https://twitter.com/DarrellMasaniai/status/1224904064074313728kapakahi wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 1:20 pm Looks like D'Anthony Jones is the only hybrid DE/OLB (because he is such a game-changer) that still being actively recruited by UH…..since UH never tripped STL DE/OLB prospect Darrell Masaniai (after Stutz left) after an early offer.
Unless he has a new late offer, looks as Masaniai is going the military academy route (Navy, Army or Air Force)…..having tripped Navy in December and visited Air Force this past weekend....and never tripping SDSU & UNLV (after their own respective coaching changes) after getting early offers from the previous coaches. https://twitter.com/DarrellMasaniai/status/1222668420757377026 https://twitter.com/DarrellMasaniai/status/1206709547152265216 https://twitter.com/DarrellMasaniai/status/1142929745983619072 https://twitter.com/DarrellMasaniai/status/1149553704812474368 https://twitter.com/DarrellMasaniai/status/1137499672833011712

I'm a night hawk usually watching all the ESPN and FOX morning talkshows real early. I'll keep an eye on Twitter.

Today's SA article only mentions Wilson and Bowens. Wondering if Toney is a PWO.
