This doesn't look good. The press conference is today at 12:30 HT.
Three members of the Hawaii football team’s coaching staff are in Pullman, Wash., and will be attending today’s news conference to introduce Nick Rolovich as Washington State’s head coach, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser has learned.
On Monday, Rolovich resigned as UH’s head coach.
Brian Smith, who has served as the Rainbow Warriors’ associate head coach and offensive coordinator the past four years, quarterbacks coach and pass-game coordinator Craig Stutzmann, and chief of staff Jason Cvercko departed Honolulu on Wednesday night.
It has not been determined if their attendance means they are joining the Cougars’ staff.
Smith and Stutzmann are widely believed to be candidates to fill the coaching vacancy created by Rolovich. They still are under consideration whether they are with the Warriors this week or not. UH athletic director David Matlin could make his recommendation for the next head coach as early as next week. the state’s hiring policy requires a waiting period of five business days. The job posted on Monday night.

Smith, Stutzmann & Cvercko attendance at this press conference is the perfect opportunity for Rolo to introduce the integral members of his new staff that he is bringing with him from UH to Wazzu.
Nah, I'll believe stutz is leaving when it actually happens. Perhaps they are just there because rolo is throwing a huge rager in Pullman with his new money
If either Smith or Stutz are offered the job here they will be Hawaii HC. The other one joins Rolo along with Cvercko.
They are just wishing Rolo well who is a friend of both of theirs. Nothing to really worry about.
If Matlin choses neither of them. All 3 of them leave to Pullman (along with anyone else that joins).
It's interesting what Batoon, Abe, etc. are doing though, they may be leftovers on the current staff and stay especially if Stutz is named coach.

You can wish someone well on the phone. This isn't just a big pay day for Rolo. It is also a big pay day for his other coaches. If one of them is offered the HC job they might stay but the other will be going to Pullman. This is what all the coaches put in the long hrs for. When their coaching career is over they can always go back to Hawaii.

Like I said, they know they are likely joining the Rolo's staff if they aren't hired as Hawaii HC and probably were spoken to about being offered a job with Rolo pending what Matlin does for our HC position.
