Re: Possible next head coaches for UH?
Mark Banker is the most qualified for the job at least for one year. At this point JJ has a commitment. They need a solid OC and not TC who only has not progressed from a receivers coach at the D1 level. If not Banker, then look at Rich Miano since he also has some contacts with coaches on the mainland. Bringing in local coaches with no NFL history, no OC/DC position at another D1 school is a mistake. The program really didn't stabilize during the four years when Rolo was here and it needs to have something to attract crowds back to the stadium.

Banker.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Mark Banker, nuff said.
I think he loves Hawaii more than anyone on the staff, including the former HC

We gotta see who Rolo takes with him. Is Stutzmann capable? Rolo was a gamble too. I think I like giving Timmy a shot at OC but who knows what'll happen. Gotta move fast tho

+1. Or Brian Norwood. Gotta be someone with UH ties as a player or coach. The worst tenures in the past 30 years were HCs with no UH ties - Fred von Appen and Norm Chow.BigWave96744 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 8:03 pm Mark Banker, nuff said.

I think whoever Rolo takes doesn’t matter if they get offered the job here. You taking your next step in the career.
Banker has applied for the position before. And came here in the end as LB coach.
I’d want Batoon or Banker

i really want someone already on staff because I think it is important that they maintain some kind of continuity coming off of a 10-win season. I'd be happy with Stutz, Banker, or Batoon taking over. Would be nice if all three stayed.

Banker is still loved in the Kahuku and Polynesian circles. He made his money already and he and his wife loves living in Hawaii and being amongst the Local People. He also has strong recruiting ties all over the mainland.Duster wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 8:10 pm+1. Or Brian Norwood. Gotta be someone with UH ties as a player or coach. Oops lol. Meant Brian Smith
Re: Possible next head coaches for UH?
Whoever will be the next coach they will have to keep the run and shoot or some type of air raid offense. Nothing else worked for UH the past 20 years.

+1 this my thinking as well
