HSA version.

He should do well in the speed and strength drills as well as the interviews. One blogger questions the possibility of first round.

I saw a Chicago blogger/newsperson suggest a 4th rounder for Chicago.

Good luck Cole!

PFF ranks CM as the 8th best QB prospect. Three QB's from the MWC are also on this list which is also impressive.

With an invite (now) to the NFL combine, voted upon by a committee of executives/player personnel from each of

the 32 NFL teams, indicates (to me) that CM is drawing more interests by the league.

Hopefully, CM does something freakish at the combine (like putting up good numbers in the speed/weight/passing drills)

that draws the scout's eyes even closer.

Moving forward CM has flaws with his decision making and I think given a better position coach (like a Dan Morrison type

over a Craig Stutzman) would have worked wonders in CM's performance(s). With better tutelage, like how CM is now receiving

now from Palmer's brother (and working out at Kobe's center), I see it as being a plus in CM's pursuit of playing at the next level.

QUARTERBACK
1. Joe Burrow, LSU
2. Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama
3. Justin Herbert, Oregon
4. Jake Fromm, Georgia
5. Jordan Love, Utah State
6. Anthony Gordon, Washington State
7. Jacob Eason, Washington
8. Cole McDonald, Hawaii
9. Jalen Hurts, Alabama
10. Josh Love, San Jose State

8. COLE MCDONALD, HAWAII
Draft Board Rank: N/A
McDonald is one of the most difficult projections in this class because of the absurdity of the offense he was playing in at Hawaii. Of McDonald’s 581 dropbacks last season, every single one had at least four wide receivers on the field, and 100 were from a completely empty look. He’s also an oddity because he combines a big arm with exceptional underneath accuracy. On throws targeted 1-9 yards downfield, McDonald ranked 16th in adjusted completion percentage. However, it was the downfield stuff that was more of an issue, as he threw more balls to defenders that didn’t even have to move than any quarterback in the country last year. He finished with 31 big-time throws compared to 29 turnover-worthy plays.

This caught my eye:
INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINE
1. Netane Muti, Fresno State

Awesome for the boy from Wahiawa if this happens

Few recruiting beats hurt like Muti did. He ended up being elite. Losing out on a recruit to a then terrible Fresno stung.

The only reason we lost out on him was his lack of grades to get into UH. He was all set to stay home.

Thanks for insight. I can't understand why someone would choose Fresno over UH. I've seen other sites that rate it as the dirtiest city but here's one.

It's also far from any major airport and has high crime with lots of drugs in the Central Valley.

Besides the Lions, Buccaneers and the Chargers, who else is interested in Cole?

Yes, he couldn't qualify. Most schools have lower academic requirements. The good news is that Fresno gave this kid an opportunity. The difference between this kid and many others that went away is that he did want to be a Warrior. Many other recruits just don't even try to take Algebra II because they know they can go someplace else; Oregon State, SDSU, UNLV, Boise, Fresno and many others.

Didn't mean for this thread to go off base but...
Muti has a 7th grade brother who is a 6'2" 7th grader who plays football and basketball. :D

I hope he is taking Algebra II. If he isn’t he won’t be recruited and will end up at another school.

I'm thinking you meant "I hope he takes Algebra II." because if any 7th grader is taking Algebra II, they should consider going to MIT instead of playing football
