IMO 6th round pick at the highest.

um, ok. they may not think Cordeiro has NFL-caliber talent, size, or arm strength (yet) but I think they would love it if Cole's throwing motion were more like Cordeiro's. I'm not sure if you are trolling me or if its wishful thinking that they will just ignore how he brings the ball down towards his hip at the beginning of this throwing motion. don't get me wrong - i want them to ignore it too. I hope they do. I want him to make it because I think he's better than Josh Allen. I hope he gets the opportunity.EITSwarrior wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 3:31 amThen they’ll hate Chevan Corderio’s throwing motion.poidog wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 12:11 amI really don't think that's true. NFL scouts rarely deviate from what is commonly-held to be acceptable traits. his throwing motion is enough of a known thing that they brought it up on almost every national cable game UH played in this season. NFL scouts rarely take risks because they want to keep their jobs more than anything else. Hopefully they see Cole as less of a risk and more of an opportunity. I think a year of pro coaching, whether on some team's 54-man roster or on a practice squad will allow him to get so much better. Time for him to move on from the Run & Shoot and on to a pro offense.EITSwarrior wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 3:35 pm As long as the throwing motion is quick, NFL scouts and coaches won’t mind.

Are you joking? Corderio’s motion is slower.poidog wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 5:27 pmum, ok. they may not think Cordeiro has NFL-caliber talent, size, or arm strength (yet) but I think they would love it if Cole's throwing motion were more like Cordeiro's. Re: Cole McDonald declares for NFL Draft
To be fair, the NFL put up with Mathew Stafford and Joe Flacco for years. They were fair, tall, muscly quarterbacks who didn't do their jobs all that well either in college or the pros. Cole should be great.

I don't think Cole gets drafted, but I think he bounces around the league practice squad and some how finds footing in Cleveland.
I hope I am wrong about the not getting drafted part though.

XFL or CFL?
I wonder how players feel. Bench on a NFL team? Or bounce around in and out of NFL? Or starting in the CFL (or XFL)?
Or even playing in other regional (paid) leagues.

Chicken or the egg first?
Do you guys think Rolo's decision came first? Or CMD's decision was first?
Rolo see his QB and Receiver core leaving, so there's going to be a drop off. W vs L may swing the other way.
CMD see his coach leaving, and know his number and play time may drop off. Not taking that chance.

Rolo's $3M for 5 years and a big raise for all his assitants cane second. Another good decision.
Mahalo to both and best wishes for their future success! Go Warriors!
Re: Cole McDonald declares for NFL Draft
IMHO these decisions were probably made independently of each other. Rolo looking to move on due to frustration with the lack of State and Admin and student and fan support, with the Aquino incident being the hugemongous straw that broke the camel's back. Plus, he would have been a complete fool to turn down $3 mil per year on a 5 year contract. Cole moving on because he accomplished as much as he could in college with the opportunity for a professional job.cabanalane wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 6:09 am Chicken or the egg first?

Just looking at the way he is leaving Hawaii, full of class, in every word and action. (Unlike his coach(es)- sorry, had to say it.)
Can CMD come back? When does late registration end for Spring semester?

'CMD supposedly already hired an agent.....so now he's considered a professional.....and can't come back.

The dreads are gone . Trying to post a pic but it’s not working. Just look up Cole’s and Jordan Palmer’s Instagram to see.

Re: Cole McDonald declares for NFL Draft
If he gets invited to the combine, he'll give a great interview. If he doesn't get invited, he will definitely be considered based on his ability to say the right things that matter to coaches and GMs. Proud of the fact he represented Hawaii and shined for two years, played for three, stayed for four. Hope he graduates from UH.
