JR Hensley is done for his UH Career

Post by BigWave96744 »

Per JR's instagram, he tore his Quad in the UNLV game and has played his last game for Hawaii.

Thank you Jake, for battling in the trenches and being a great team player for Hawaii

Man, really sorry to see a senior go down in an injury. I hope he's out there on senior night. Five years dedication to the UH football program. We love you JR.

He trimmed down and getting ready for the NFL. Or he could pull a John Ursua. Might as well be done for the year, with this injury. There is no need to "comeback." And there's enough beef at the O-line that UH is now perfectly fine without JR.

JR most likely will be playing on Sundays. Don't risk an injury like Tua.

Let the body rest.

If he is reading this. Thank you J.R. for choosing UH, from the bad times to the good times.

From the first days I saw JR as a true freshmen in practices, going head to head in drills, he was holding his own against UH's top defensive linemen, Kennedy T. He impressed me then and hence I been one his biggest followers thru out his career. To me he will always be a mountain of a man, not only in structure. But in foundation, the aura he projects, his heart and pride of the O- line even when he misses a beat now and then (w/ penalties), he was player that gave it all. Thank you JR, godspeed in your recovery and journey and for choosing Hawaii.

hensley's up front pass blocking was part of the protection our qb's benefited from this year. he finally got some help on the line and limiting opposing defenses to 15 sacks this year is outstanding.

loved having him up front with the protection package. hope his future is solid and shiny.

They should dedicate the game to JR and Scheyenne before him against SDSU. Guys have given more than a military stint to bettering the UH program.

He stuck with the program thru thick and thin, kept his wits and played every down with a lot of heart. For a young man from deep in the heart of Oklahoma... he surely took well to the culture of the isles, and the fans have truly adopted him as one of their own. Godspeed J.R., and wishing you the Greatest Successes in your future... on and off the field.

I wish him luck...it was nice to not have a bunch of OL OL penalties though during the last 2 games. J/k

In December he was in a wheelchair so I'm hoping he gets a degree and becomes successful in his life after football. He was one great recruit for Hawaii, not because of football but because of the whole package. He started three years.

Wait, JR's injury was career ending as in "UH Career" ending? or football career ending?

The two can be the same, but also not.
