It's almost go time! We're overdue for the first prediction thread of the year. I remember over a decade ago for the Bama game in Tuscaloosa, we had this thread up by spring time.

Hawaii had been a 1-point favorite for this game for since late May. Now it's a pick'em with the o/u on points set at 64.5. In simpler terms: Vegas expects a battle. UH won this battle last fall in the regular season finale, 46-40. What do you, Hawai'i fans of SportsHawaii.com, expect from this game between UH and UMass?

IIRC, UH split the last two trips to the East Coast (Army and Navy). I think UMass very much leans more towards Army's caliber than Navy's.

When do Hawaii teams ever make things easy? I think it'll be a game of ups and downs, but ultimately UH's talent edge is the difference. Hawaii 37, Massachusetts 31.
