Our offense puts up a bunch of yards but are they really good as some of you think?
- 3rd down conversion 39%
- Red Zone scoring 67%
- Red Zone TD 63%
For the season (6 games including 1 FCS) 22 TD, 1 FG, 15 Sacks, 7 Int

Plays are there but our offense is inconsistent, starts slow, fails to convert 3rd downs, and penalties kills drives by taking away big plays and putting us in 3rd and long. The Penalties and poor defensive play is more concerning to me. Fix the defense first then worry about the other issues.

Sounds like the Chow era, no OC.

I felt that he called a good game at wyoming. But aside from that game his play calling is bad. IDK why he makes it so complicated. Stick with the short passes and run the ball with Saint Juste and Tuiasoa.

IMO this is not the issue.

Let us not forget we have national leaders in rushing and receiving. Chow left rolo with a big and physical offensive line and playmakers. While I am not a DB fan his qb efficiency is decent.

The offense piles up yards but continually stalls in the red zone. Another issue is not putting up enough points to compensate for a bad defense.

UH runs a sophisticated modern college offense with rpo, pistol, power running and numerous personnel groupings which challenge defenses. A better qb and speedy outside would propel this offense to a jj like offense.

Should Chow get some credit for Rolo's success?

YES -- the best players are from Chow -- DSJ, Ursua, Allen, waa, eli, tavai, #39 AND #4. Plus Rolo recruits are unable to beat out Chow recruits and some Chow recruits are on NFL rosters.

Which Rolo recruits have NFL potential?
