2016 SEASON opener AGAINST UT martin skyhawks
Saturday, September 10, 2016 ● 6:00 p.m.



Aiea, HAWAII (September 2, 2016) – Let’s welcome Coach Rolovich and the team to the Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union Field at Aloha Stadium as they take on UT Martin, Saturday, September 10, 2016. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Fans can avoid long lines at the Box Office by purchasing tickets online (www.HawaiiAthletics.com) or by phone (808-944-2697) before arriving at the game. Please note new changes made to the openings: Public parking for Upper and Lower Halawa Parking Lots will have access through Gates 3 & 4, opening at 1 p.m. Gate 3 is recommended for fans and will have additional parking attendants to allow for ease of entrance. All other lots (UH Reserved), will open at 2 p.m. Turnstile Gates 1 – 8 will open to the public starting at 4:30 p.m. with the exception of Gate 7 opening at 3:30 p.m. for the NEW North Plaza Fan Zone and Xtreme Fun Keiki Zone. In addition, there will be a modified Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in sections 8-14. Swap Meet entrance will be at Gate 2 only, closing at 12:00pm. Gate 2 will reopen to the public at 2:00pm for the game.


INCOMING TRAFFIC & PARKING (maps attached)

Entrance through Gate 1 (Main Salt Lake) – ADA, Bus Lot and Sections 1-7 only (PASSES ONLY); Use Kamehameha Highway or Salt Lake Blvd.
Entrance through Gate 2 (North Kamehameha) – Parking Sections 8-14 only (PASSES ONLY); Use Kamehameha Highway
PUBLIC PARKING Entrance through Gate 3 (Halawa) – Upper and Lower Halawa parking lots only (PUBLIC PARKING); Use Kahuapaani St. only
*public is encouraged to use Gate 3. Additional parking cashiers will be added to all lanes
PUBLIC PARKING Entrance through Gate 4 (Lower Salt Lake) – Upper and Lower Halawa parking lots only (PUBLIC PARKING); Use Kahuapaani St. only
Entrance through Business Access Gate – Upper Halawa Reserved (PASSES ONLY); Use Salt Lake Blvd. or Kahuapaani St.

There will be no public parking available on the inner circle, except for the limited amount of ADA stalls. The ADA stalls will be open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking attendants will be asking for ADA placards and ADA issued identification cards. Guests who are unable to produce the placard and the ID card to match a person inside the vehicle will not be allowed to park in the ADA areas.



Alternate parking is at available Radford High School, Kam Drive In, and Leeward Community College (LCC). Please note opening and closing times:

Kam Drive-In (3:30 p.m. – 1 hour after game) Parking is $5 per vehicle with FREE shuttle service

3:30 p.m. – 1 hour after the game).

Leeward Community College (3:30 p.m. – 1 hour after game) Parking is FREE. Cost is $2 per person (roundtrip) for shuttle service (3:30 p.m. – 1 hour after the game).

Radford High School (2:30 p.m. – 1 hour after game) Parking is $5. NO shuttle service available.
Note: Security is present at all alternate parking sites. No tailgating allowed at all alternate parking sites.


Due to a high turnout expectancy for the first game, fans coming from the West side are encouraged to park at Leeward Community College or Kam Drive-In. Traffic updates will be available on ESPN 1420 AM, Facebook at AlohaStadiumHawaii and on Twitter @AlohaStadiumHI.

UH Promotion: Promotions: Hawaiian Telcom is the game sponsor and will distribute 10,000 green hairbands (available at all stadium gates) and award a 50" TV during the halftime promotional contest (register at Gate 3). One lucky fan will compete in the "Hawaiian Telcom Field Goal Kick" promotion during pre-game (register at Gate 3) and a UH student will compete in the "Hawaiian Telcom Quarterback Challenge" for the chance to win a Vacations Hawaii Trip to Las Vegas during the first timeout of the fourth quarter. Fans are encouraged to visit the Xtreme Fun Zone before the game located in the North Plaza parking section 8A. Also, register at Gate 4 or 6 to win the "Best Seats In the House," compliments of Papa John's Pizza Hawaii and NAPA. The Farmers Hawaii Supa Bowzooka will be launching T-shirts into the stands between the first and second quarters.


SHOUT IT OUT!

Got an upcoming Birthday, Anniversaries, Marriage Proposals, or other special event you want to share at the game? The Bank of Hawaii “Shout Out” board is the perfect way to send your message of Aloha during the UH Football games. Email your family-friendly message to samantha.l.spain@hawaii.gov. One message per person per game may be submitted. Messages are selected on first-come first-serve basis, and must be submitted at least two days before each game. Messages will rotate during the University of Hawaii Football game half-time announcements. If your message is selected, a confirmation email will be sent to you one day prior to game day.



Please be advised Aloha Stadium does not allow guests to bring outside food and beverages into the stadium. This policy will be strictly enforced at the gates. No tailgating will be permitted after kickoff. Guests will be required to go into the stadium or leave the premises. Law Enforcement Officers along with Stadium Personnel will also be performing sobriety checks around the stadium. Fans are asked to drink responsibly and use a designated driver.
