There's no way Vavae decomits for UH. The Ducks produce RBs and they look like they're only taking him this year. Oregon HC Mark Helfrich visited Malepeai at home at the end of last week too, he's solid.
Jus cause they're only taking one rub this year and Vavae is the one doesn't mean anything. He can get buried on the depth chart real quick. One year the Ducks recruited Thomas Tyner and was considered the guy for the next four years, but then next year came and Royce Freeman came aboard. Everyone they recruit is the caliber of Vavae or better.
Yea but that's somewhat the purpose of big time programs is the depth. Oregon took in three of the top five all purpose backs last cycle, Malik Lovette redshirted and is now at DB, Kirk Merritt played at receiver this season, and Taj Griffin played as the change of pace back. With Royce looking like one of the top backs for next year's draft and Thomas Tyners return to Eugene unlikely, Vavae has a chance to get into the rotation that produces the top rushing attack in the Pac-12 and top 5 in the country year in and year out. Vae's got a shot... He's the greatest prep RB to come out of the state of Hawaii.

A number of things can happen in the future that could lead him back home, but for him to flip before signing day, to UH at that, will take a miracle.
He's not J Igber. If Joe had his OL, he'd have way more yards & TDs. Joe had OL players that weighed 180lbs, was always under attack and dodging defenders as soon as he took the ball.

Vavae is good and has numbers ,but those numbers are padded. I saw many games that showed how much he benefitted from a good OL. I usually gets hit 5 yds downfield. SERIOUSLY PPL THE LASTEST GUY ISNT LWAYS THE BEST EVER. #palololegendJIgber

How about this "statistically" the greatest RB in state prep history. If we were to talk about hypothetics, we can also say Vavae's numbers suffered because he had to share the rock with Milton and Timoteo which took touches out of his hand. So it can be argued either way. The point I was trying to get across is that he has the talent to be in the rotation at a big time school. Igber was a great RB and probably started the trend of outstanding RBs to come out of Cal. He would've been probably had untouchable numbers if he had an OL, but Vae isn't a slouch that only benefitted from a decent OL.

Would be a great pick up local pickup for this class, but there's a lot of competition for him. He's scheduled to visit Louisville in the upcoming weeks as well.

i didn't know you should say/show so much on twitter. I thought things had to be firm and signed before you could announce stuff. or maybe these are all garans already.

Apparently it's a very common practice and okay as long as you don't mention the recruit's name. Check out this article.
