Most of our commits no one has ever heard of and/or we were their only offer...

NC's pitch..."hey young man, you play football? Want to play for UH? What, you have no offers? Boom, here you go"!

Nothing against the recruits as they may become great players, but not holding on to commits, not hiring a DC and DB coach has had tremendous repercussions for the 2015 class. Losing guys to UNLV and UC Davis, really?

Unfortunately the success of Mariota at Oregon and the stink that currently emanates from UH will sway more local players to the mainland.

Not being able to sign some defensive tackles will hurt this season for sure. All of the players in the 2014 rotation are gone.

From my own recollection:

Jordan Agasiva OL 6-4 315 Fr - did not qualify, went to JC then Utah
Kamuela Borden OL/DL 6-4 - went on a mission and came back
Dejaun Butler CB 5-11 180 Jr - was in the rotation
Dylan Collie* WR 5-10 175 Fr - started, dropped plenty balls, transferred to BYWho
Melvin Davis RB 6-2 235 Jr - was in the rotation, had an illness, returned but was never the same
Paul Harris ATH 5-11 190 Jr - was in the rotation and part-time starter
J.R. Hensley OL 6-5 315 Fr - solid starter
Sione Kauhi* DL 6-5 240 Fr - don't know what happened to him
Makani Kema-Kaleiwahea * LB 6-3 - starter
Solomon Matautia S 6-1 220 - starter
Eperone Moananu OL 6-2 285 - in the rotation
Matt Norman* OL 6-5 250 Jr - backup
Alexander Trifonovitch P 6-1 - left the program, rarely played
Austin Webb OL 6-8 310 Fr - illness and never returned?
Russell Williams* LB 6-1 225 - was in the rotation
Max Wittek* QB 6-4 240 Sr - just didn't have it, had a cannon arm but balls bounced off the receivers
Cats don't have owners. Cats have servants.

Thanks Cats. I was wondering how Agasiva ended up at anchoring at Utah as a starter. Didn't know he was academically ineligible. Maybe Algebra II. Sione Kauhi was recruited as a TE and it would have worked out for him if Chow stayed but I think he didn't want to move to OT. Makani Kema-Kaleiwahea and Kory Rasmussen was the time when the defense was last solid. Maybe it was their Pac-12 exposure. Maybe it was Trayvon Henderson and Daniel Lewis as DBs that also added to the defense.
