Greatest commit ever. This kid will show Joey Iosefa how a real fat man TD is scored.

There's no way we leave him at RB right?
Re: DT/RB David Fangupo commits to Hawaii
I like him at DT. If his upper body strength is as good as his lower he could be the steal of the class.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Dats one big boy! And either he has some speed, or the other Big Island teams are really slow. Would like to see film on defensive line too!

I guess he can be like the Fridge and play DT and FB at the goalline.My3Cats wrote:Dats one big boy! And either he has some speed, or the other Big Island teams are really slow. Would like to see film on defensive line too!
Re: DT/RB David Fangupo commits to Hawaii
defensive guys are faster, but just run slow so they dont have to try tackling the brother. cant blame um

Lol, That's one big buggah! Carrying 348lbs is pretty good for a big fellah like that. No offence, but I guess he can get away with it on the BI against smaller teams cause da poor defenders in da video look kinda small and scared with no effort to try an make the tackle. But at this level, he probably wouldn't even reach the line of scrimmage. He'll definitely be on the D-line and maybe used on short yardage situations depending on his speed on offense. Still give him credit for his hustle. If he trims to 295-285, watch out people! Cause dis buggah is going to bull doze some guys ovah, lol.
Re: DT/RB David Fangupo commits to Hawaii
lose fifty pounds and he will be mr touchdown from anywhere on the field. still, he's an amazing kid. simply awesome.
but, not a fan of the way he carries the football. college defenders will punch at the ball over and over.
i was impressed at :51 when he protected his team mate from injuring himself by stopping his attempt at a flying chest bump.

Not official, but word around the block is that Fangupo still has to pass his SAT in the upcoming days. Can someone in the education system or coaching staff prepare these athlete early so that there are no delays or pressure on the athletes and there families. Sad to see athletes come up short because they don't have a close mentor to coach them in the prep process on eligibility. H.E.L.P.
