2012 Day 9 - Chinedu “Edu” Amadi

Chinedu ‘Edu” Amadi
Class: Freshman
Position: Wide Receiver
HT/WT: 5’ 9’’ / 185 lbs

A 2011 graduate of Chino High School in California...named first-team all-Inland Valley as a utility back and first-team all-CIF Southern Section Central Division as a defensive back in 2010...played both sides of the ball as a receiver and defensive back…as a senior, led the league in scoring with 24 touchdowns, including four in games against Garey High School and Northview High School…finished with 46 receptions for 790 yards and 10 TDs and also rushed 50 times for 503 yards and 14 TDs…ranked second in the league in receiving yards and eighth in rushing…on defense, had a league-high five interceptions and also finished with 30 total tackles…served as the team’s punter, averaging 39.2 yards per punt…helped lead team to 11-1 record after finishing 0-10 in 2009…also lettered in track one year…participated in the triple jump with a personal best of 43-3......an honor roll student...recipient of the Silver Spur Award, a school academic honor.


Chinedu Promise Amadi was born on July 15, 1993 in Long Beach, Calif...intends to major in economics....has two older sisters (Ndidi Patience and Chinyere Peace) and an older brother (Alfred)...parents are Dr. Gilbert and Rev. Debbie Amadi of Ontario, Calif.

Fun Facts:
- Sister, Ndidi Patience, was crowned Miss Kibbi State 2004 and a contestant of the Miss Nigeria in America 2004
- Sister, Chinyere Peace, was crowned Miss Abuja 2007 and then winner of the Miss Nigeria in America 2007
- Cousin is former NFL player N.D. Kalu, a defensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans
- Chose Hawaii over Arizona State, New Mexico State, Montana and Sacramento State. Also drew interest from UCLA, Boise State and Utah.
- Attended same HS as former Warriors Greg Salas and Joey Lipp
- Nickname is “Edu”
