Allen, Garcia-Williams, Lakalaka, and Taiulu, and Fonua
Re: Allen, Garcia-Williams, Lakalaka, and Taiulu, and Fonua
You would think those commits bring UH out of the recruiting cellar. Still probably in the 100s, but at least not dead last any more.

I can already envision Benny working on fellow Red Raiders RB Aofaga Wily & OL John Wa'a for next year's UH recruiting class!madeinhawaii wrote:From Tsai's blog....

TAKE THIS TO THE BANK:
Allen, Garcia-Williams, Lakalaka, and Taiulu, and Fonua all committed together! Benny did a good job helping with Lakalaka.
Brostek still undecided. And Fiso had a great visit and became good friends with Lakalaka and Benny but gotta convince his Mom.
Great news thus far Warrior fans!

Welcome guys!
Lakalaka, looks like you could be a potential starter as a true freshman. Good power, quick starter to hit the front side holes, (maybe don't have the 40 speed, but definitely got football/game speed); and good change of direction to make the cut backs. Plus, got the hands for the swings. Maybe with you, Norm Chow with have a Wild Cat package for you too. Only thing Chow may have to teach, is ball protection in traffic though.

I was thinking the same thing about ball protection. The highlights don't show any but I have to wonder if he ever lost the ball.Prosaic wrote:Welcome guys!

This recruiting class is turning out to be really really good so far. I can't wait to see what other surprise recruits we land on LOI day! So close, yet so far away from LOI day. Chow and his staff (Thank god he kept Tuioti) did great with 1 month to recruit but could you imagine if they had a full year to recruit.
To complete my wishlist for this years recruiting class Fanaika, Brostek, Januska, Fiso and the big time play maker Sean Draper!!! These 5 studs are not just game changers but are football program changers. Come and join the Hawaii Warrior Ohana.

Agreed, the real test is who makes the grades and THEN makes it on the field. Some of you old timers know that's the real deal, not LOI day, it's who can qualify and actually make it to Aloha Stadium.TheDuke wrote:I'll wait and see who get's into school

However we should celebrate when they sign up for UH no matter what. That is the first part of getting the recruit to join. This should be like the 48 hour celebration after a win. We cheer through the weekend then wait patiently for the next step. So on and so forth.
