This team can be a good one, but I think "believing" is a non-issue for them. Most of the players tend to think we're going to do far better than supposed to. Never met a college football player who walked into a season saying, "Yeah, I think 7-6 or 8-5 is what our fans should expect". Rational or not, you can bet the Warriors think they'll go 13-0.

I believe UH's ceiling for 2011 is 12-1, the bottom floor is 7-6, but the realistic approach is 9-4 or 10-3.

I think the ceiling could be 13-0 but I think realistically, we'll be 7-6 or 8-5. I don't see any game as a sure loss, but we have so many holes to fill on the offense. If the offense can gel early, we could have a tremendous season. If the Oline and receivers have a hard time, we're in for a long season.

Finding 6 losses on this years schedule is not easy, but crazier things have happened. Don't think I saw anyone predicting 7 losses going into the 2009 season. I think Irse's conservative predication was more a way of saying "Sh!t happens". And could very well happen. There are pieces that must come together to make Hawaii a good team, and they just might come together. But if they don't....it could have lasting affects for 2011.

Most had the 2006 team going 7-6, 8-5....in that area. The team meshed well and went 11-3.

Most had the 2009 team going 7-6, 8-5......GA got hurt. So did Bradley. Moniz wasn't ready. They went 6-7.

Small factors like the O-Line coming together, Moniz staying healthy, and the WR's "getting it" is the difference between 6-7 and 11-2.

im not sure if its just tsai's coverage or not, but all the off season workout pics/stories has me excited. feel like this team is working hard together in the offseason and lots of guys are showing up for workouts. im sure its been like this every year, but there seems to be a huge commitment this offseason.

i wish there would be more coverage of the big boys though. havent really seen any photos of them, just of the 7on7s.

"we believe in 2011" I think its both players and fans. without fans in the stands, those close games, or half a yard to a touchdown to beat a difficult team could make or break a game...coach Mac encouraging fans to participate at all levels (media takes, at the game etc.)
