Changed the title. Kai, my apologies for jumping the gun and thinking you're transferring. Best of luck in your future.

Re: Kai Kaneshiro medically retired
You know, it the original post was not transfer portal, it wouldn't have drawn the comments it did. Understanding what the news as it was, I can see that potentially this medical problem existed before it was declared. You gotta be unfeeling to not to have sympathy for a young man who was physically gifted but was injured in the pursuit of excellence in his sport.

Re: Kai Kaneshiro in the transfer portal
HIPAA. But you got to wonder, why "24 Out?"
When players are hurt, they still want to be part of the team even when they are not playing. J.R. Hensley was in a wheelchair, but wore his jersey. IIRC, on senior night, he was on two crutches (getting better). When Kalepo Nautala broke his neck, that was "75 Out." How he would give anything to be back in, with the brothers. When UH play at Colorado, Lepo was there on the sidelines.
The point is when players are hurt, they still want to be with the brothers. How come 24 Out?
HIPAA = silence. That can be good or bad.

I didn't and don't believe the "medically retired" reason. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up playing somewhere else.

Re: Kai Kaneshiro medically retired
Maybe they were hoping to "silence" him with the "medical" route cause HIPAA. I think any player can claim that, as everyone who plays football is truly a little bit hurt.

Wow, Kai had some not-so-good things to say today about the current state of the program and coaches.
Very sad to hear. Just does not sound good.

Listening to him talk it sounds like he's blaming the staff for his performance on the field.
