Finally. Too bad Kalani graduate was persuaded out of retirement by the Giants organization at 66 from his ownership of a grocery store in Fresno. I think he could have brought winning ways to UH as he did in the California league.

Noticed that Ronn Miyashiro is also out as Men's Golf Coach after 20+ years. I wonder if Coolen's job is safe. Seems like he hasn't had a winning season in awhile. Just checked -- 2019, 2017, 2015, 2013 were winning seasons. Real up and down the last several years.

I believe the minimum requirement for any D1 coaching job is a bachelors degree. Lenn Sakata unfortunately doesn't meet this requirement which is why he apparently was never considered for any college coaching job. UH is no exception on this requirement. Thanks for the info. I didn't know Sakata did not receive a degree at Gonzaga. I wonder if Kurt Suzuki graduated from Fullerton but I kinda doubt it. I know that Kolten left early. Shane never attended. I'd like to see somebody come back like MLB great Tony Gwynn did for SDSU.
