I can understand if we lock down our kids at home and relegate them to a computer screen.I don't think that is the best choice. You and I have to work for a living to feed those kids.Hawaii is under a second lockdown. I wonder how many people are jobless because of the first lockdown, and how many more are going to get jobless under this second lockdown.Government isn't going to save you if they keep going into lockdown mode. Government money comes from your taxes. When they lockdown enough to make us all unemployed ,they will run out of money to try and help you because nobody can pay them taxes.

I would hope we could be allowed to make a living for our families ,and that we or our employers could accomplish this by being allowed to go about our daily lives under the knowledge that we have to wear masks and keep social distance while there is no vaccine.

@unpaid: I hear you. But, I think the blame lies squarely with COVID-19. Oahu has had triple-digit daily new infections for nearly a month. Worse, the positivity rate is now just over 10%, which is serious. Also, our hospital ERs are being overrun by serious COVID cases. At one point late last week, at least five hospitals on Oahu had to turn-away ambulances because their ERs were full. All that, is why Caldwell ordered this second lockdown. Right now, I think the only solution is God. I mean, there isn't anything else, right? As you said, there's no vaccine yet. Therefore, God is all we have left. If He doesn't intervene, well, this terrible situation might go on indefinitely. Let's hope this second lockdown will drive-down the infections.

Jayden Maiava QB Kaimuki 2022 was one of the top performers at the Stack Sports Showcase and the Regional Elite 11 event in Portland, OR last Sunday according to 247sports. The article says Maiava had the strongest arm of the QB’s attending the showcase. He was able to zip passes through the windy weather conditions.

PTP National Showcase is in Utah this weekend.247Sports is covering it. The scouts thought four Hawaii players were top performers in 1 on 1 and 7 on 7 on Thursday. Iapani Laloulu OL Farrington,Tevarua Tafiti LB Punahou,Kahanu Kia LB Punahou, and Kaeo Akana LB Roosevelt. The writer mentioned that he thought Akana was more explosive than the two Punahou Linebackers.

Day Two,Akana,Tafiti, and Kia again had standout performances. All three were getting pressure off the edge. The writer also singled out Laakea Louis LB St.Louis for playing with a mean streak and making a lot plays around the line of scrimmage. Matagi Thompson CB Punahou drew praise for pressing receivers at the line of scrimmage and disrupting pass routes downfield.

Looks like the kids are ballin out.

Two stars,
Zealand Matagi RB Kahuku I think this is a case of a kid falling because he doesn’t have any current year game tape for scouts to look at, so he may be getting bypassed by other guys who are playing this year.
