What do you think about this year's wrestling season we already had the #1 girls P4P suffer a upset loss

I think we're all just waiting for one of the upcoming big tournaments like Maui and Officials before we start making a bunch of predictions. But I will say, Moanalua Boys look good so far.

I agree I haven't seen Moanalua's Varsity yet but I heard they have a stacked team but Kalaheo's Leong look like a beast @ this past tournament @Kalani h.s

Just curious, does anyone know the results from last weekend's duals?
Boys and girls teams from Moanalua, Pearl City, Kapolei, and Waianae wrestled. Any interesting results/matches.

Did he wrestle anybody good? I haven't seen any BIG matchups just yet. I've seen Brandon Pagurayan beat up on a bunch of no name guys and same with Boltyn Taam, but I want to see what happens when they meet the ILH and outer island guys.

Not sure, but since Moanalua wrestled Kapolei this last weekend it's possible that Wusstig or Taam matched up with Pagurayan. That would count as a "BIG" matchup. Any word on Leong's matches or Wusstig/Taam/Pagurayan would be appreciated. Anyone get eyes on either? Any other big matchups on girls side other than the Corbett/Makuaole match? Official's is next week, I'm sure we'll have some interesting things then.

Kamehameha is the clear favorite this year for boys and girls. Don’t know how Moanalua or anyone else can keep up with the warriors

If Pascua still looks like the same wrestler as last year I think Leong wins but we might not have to wait till states with officials coming up

I think Pagurayan is going 160 this year, Wusstig at 145, and Taam at 152? Not sure if any of them will change weight classes. Any idea what weights some of the girls are going? Gooman? Mahoe? Estrella?

Watched Tamm wrestle Pagaruyan it was a close match 1-0 could of went in to overtime but the ref didn't give Pagaruyan the last second escape also watched Wusting he doesn't look a 100% I think he might be hurt but Leong looks like he's on a mission this year he's smashing every one he faced so far @ 170lbs I can't wait to see what happens @ Officials

I'm glad you wrestling guys began this thread. It's been a discouraging weekend in high school sports for me. In basketball and paddling, schools I like have been losing, and schools I don't like, have been winning. I'm hoping that schools I like, will do well in Officials.
