Ok, I guess i'll be the first to say.....How is Cosbie the COY????? Someone got this absolutely WRONG!!! LOL I can live with ane or cal lee but damn, cosbie hasn't won an ilh div 1 game in 2 years. I also think muasau (pun) should be a 1st teamer

Re: ILH all stars released
@Dog 96707: I had exactly the same reaction about Cosbie. With the talent he had, I think he should have done better. What's frustrating about Kamehameha is that they kept blowing leads during the second half. The moment you thought they had Punahou or St Louis beat, their D surrendered big plays. Another annoying habit Kamehameha had was that their O seemed to always go cold in the second half. I think Lee should have been coach-of-the-year.Dog 96707 wrote:Ok, I guess i'll be the first to say.....How is Cosbie the COY????? Someone got this absolutely WRONG!!! Re: ILH all stars released
The only plausible explanation for Cosbie being COY is that they think he must've handled the many injuries KSK suffered as good as any coach would. Thing is, Punahou and STL suffered just as many injuries.

Re: ILH all stars released
Yeah the Cosbie pick doesn't make sense. I actually had Isaac Slade-Matautia pegged as the DPOY too, but Laakea Look was the leader of a young defense. Punahou will be very tough to beat next year.

I agree. Matautia should've been DPOY. Look is ok but missed a couple of games.rednblue wrote:Yeah the Cosbie pick doesn't make sense. I actually had Isaac Slade-Matautia pegged as the DPOY too, but Laakea Look was the leader of a young defense. Punahou will be very tough to beat next year.

@rednblue: Actually, I think St Louis will be tougher. They have Tagovailoa and almost all of their LBs coming back. At both positions, they're the best in the state.rednblue wrote:Yeah the Cosbie pick doesn't make sense. @Tmanz: Well, Kahuku does have almost its entire O back, plus the OIA JV championship team coming-up to vars. I wouldn't mind seeing them taking the state title again. If it's not them, it would probably be either Punahou or St Louis. For those of us who aren't alumni of any of those three schools--(like myself)--would you rather see Kahuku repeat, or would you prefer to see Punahou or St Louis take it? I prefer Kahuku, thank-you.Tmanz wrote:Regardless of who this champ is, Kahuku will repeat as champsHS Football Fanatic wrote:@rednblue: Actually, I think St Louis will be tougher. Fanatic is so pro-St. Louis its ridiculous. You got your nose so far up St. Louis you know what its laughable. Your rhetoric is biased, hyped, and opinionated. How can anyone take anything you say as half way subjective and intelligent? Your comments are always based on your affiliation on St. Louis. You must have graduated from that fine academic institution. Have you actually attended a Punahou game? Kamehameha game? A Kahuku game? Any game other than a St. Louis game? Do you also think Tua can turn water into wine while his linebackers part the red sea?HS Football Fanatic wrote:@Tmanz: Well, Kahuku does have almost its entire O back, plus the OIA JV championship team coming-up to vars. @HaterOfElitists: I'm usually not very blunt, but quite frankly your post is one the most stupid I've read on this entire message-board. You'd sound a lot less stupid if you'd perhaps bother to read some of the other threads. In fact, what did the very post of mine that you responded to, say? In case you have trouble with basic reading comprehension, I said: "For those of us who aren't alumni of any of those three schools--like myself--would you rather see Kahuku repeat, or would you prefer to see Punahou or St Louis take it? So, how can I have my "nose so far up St Louis"..."that it's laughable"? Wasn't that a dumb thing to say, when I said I prefer Kahuku to take it, instead of St Louis? Also, in the sentence immediately preceding that, I said I wasn't an alumnus of any of those three schools, one of which is St Louis. So, how could you say I "must have graduated from that fine...institution" (St Louis)? I don't know which institution you graduated from, but it apparently couldn't be very fine academically. Please pardon my saying so, but a middle school kid would give you a run for your money as far as reading comprehension is concerned.
If you had bothered to read the Kahuku vs St Louis thread, you would have seen that I was backing Kahuku throughout that thread. Unless, you did read it, but had the same problems with basic reading comprehension that you demonstrated in the post I'm responding to now.
Finally, would it surprise you to learn that I hadn't attended any St Louis games this year?
I leave you with this thought: "Better to be thought a fool, than to post, and remove all doubt."

You say you'd prefer Kahuku, but you make it sound like St. Louis can do no wrong. You know what your problem is? You deify people and teams too much! You sound like Tua and his linebacking corps can make pigs fly and that the people that put together rankings at SL and SA can read minds! That suggests that you aren't very willing to think for yourself!HS Football Fanatic wrote: @HaterOfElitists: I'm usually not very blunt, but quite frankly your post is one the most stupid I've read on this entire message-board. @HaterOfElitists: There you go again, putting mouth into gear before brain (if any) is engaged. It appeared that St Louis could have done no wrong, before the game; that's why they were favored. I still wanted Kahuku to win. So, how did I "deify" St Louis? I strongly suspect that most of the guys on this message-board thought St Louis would win. Therefore, you're calling-out most of the guys on this message-board. You know what your problem is? You attempt to engage in a battle of wits when you're unarmed.HaterOfElitists wrote:You say you'd prefer Kahuku, but you make it sound like St. Louis can do no wrong. You know what your problem is? Next year prep football should be entertaining. Hope the other OIA schools can give Beeg Red a run for the money.
