Koehler was a star at right tackle at Saint Louis School in Honolulu, Hawaii, but projects as a guard in college and is considered as such in most publications. A 3-star recruit, according to 247Sports' composite rankings, Koehler one of the best offensive guards in the nation.

I did not have a good feeling of Kohler choosing UH, and expected that he would probably go away for school. Best of luck to the young man.
