Gilbride was originally recruited by Michigan State, Baylor, Kansas, Houston, San Diego State, Alabama-Birmingham and Memphis before signing with BYU.
This year, he talked with Lou Holtz at South Carolina and also considered Pittsburgh. His father is currently the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wow what a shock...
This was a guy who was a big time HS recruit but when he came to Hawaii he could get any playing time. He eventually switched to the baseball team. Now he's a TE coach????
