Based upon the results of the efforts of the US Team in the WBC (World Baseball Classic), owners of MLB companies have begun researching the feasibility of overseas outsourcing their industry.
Evidently, the owners want to know if they were to produce and distribute a superior product at a substantially lower cost, would it result in increased revenue.
Although there are MLB fans who don’t mind paying good money for an inferior product, the owners feel that if they were able to offer a better product, for less money, ticket sales, as well as the sales of related products, could triple. This would subsequently result in increased profits for the owners, as well as their stockholders.
Results of the study are expected to be given to the owners before the start of next season.
On a separate note, owners are expected to suggest a name change next season.
The World Series will now be referred to as the MLBCS.
