The Philadelphia Eagles today signed Timmy Chang to a F.A. deal. He's being assigned to Europe, but their intention is to have him compete for the No. 2 spot behind McNabb and in front of Detmer.
The Eagles may present the perfect fit for T.C., they'll never be mistaken for being shy about throwing the ball. He should also feel right at home in uniforms that are green, silver and white.
Philly's a tough place for sure, I'm from less than an hour away. Being a Cowboy fan my whole life, it was hell living there in the 60's and 70's as a kid. The Eagles are my No. 1 hate, but this might change things for me a little if Timmy succeeds. I'll never root for the Eagles, but I'll be watching and rooting for him.
We'll see.......................
T.C. is an Eagle...........

Allocated the following nine players to play in NFL Europe this spring: DT Jeremy Caudill, QB Timmy Chang, TE Jonas Crafts, WR Michael Gasperson, DE Darrell Lee, SS Corey Peoples, SS Brandon Pinderhughes, WR Edward Simms and DT Keyonta Marshall, a seventh-round draft choice of the Eagles in 2005 who spent time on both the practice squad and the active roster last season and appeared in one game.
Good news for Timmy, hope he make the best of the opportunity that he has... As JJ says, it sometimes just being in the right place at the right time... Will be watching to see how he does, one thing to get signed, but if he doesn't perform right away or show good, it may be the end of the road. If he does show that he has potential, then the least he may get is Arena.
Good luck Timmy!!!! Hopefully he will be the first of several QB's to get a shot at the NFL from UH. Open the door wide for us!!!
