Got good size at 6-5, 210, but wasn't really productive at Northern Illinois. 3 year career with 31 catches, 300 yards and 3 TDs in 31 games. Maybe he'll be switched to TE.

First off, I want to introduce myself. Grew up in Waipahu, moved to Illinois in HS, to live with my dad and go to college at NIU. Oddly enough, NIU's OL coach is from Waipahu as well, Kamehameha grad.

Second, I've seen this kid play. Athletically, there's no better player on the field. He's fast, big, and strong. However, he looks like someone who just learned the sport yesterday. His ball tracking skills are terrible, he can't catch in traffic and he lacks fundamentals everywhere else. However, he's had one game where he was on, and he looked like Calvin Johnson putting it all together.

Welcome to SH. Thanks for your insight on why his statistical productivity doesn't match the highlight video.

The college highlights made me think of Attrice Brooks a bit with his size and physical skills. He does play big and looks like he has an NFL body. His high school highlights have him at TE some of the time:

Maybe a look-see at TE/H-back for Dennis? He does present a matchup problem as a WR for opposing CBs.

His NIU bio states that he is a mechanical engineering major. Nice.

His QB at NIU was pretty decent too. Former 4 star PAC 12 starter who transferred due to injury. That kid/man (he was a 24 year old college Sr) threw some accurate balls too, D Rob just couldn't catch. But also, maybe it was NIUs system, because they are primarily run first and the WRs don't get as open as Hawaii's does. That could really change things for him.

Good luck to him. Hope we can get a couple of OL.

With Navarro College SB/WR transfer Tru Edwards & incoming frosh WR Jalen Walthall, agree that OL (more so than SB/WR) is the recruiting priority to add needed depth.

This seems like a substantial step down.

Might have been his only real offer. With over a thousand players in the portal, many players don't even have an offer. His UH offer might have been contingent on what Tru Edwards decided and Edwards committed to UH/
