Probably doubtful when considering that Ashley hasn't been on a college coaching staff for the past 7 seasons (since 2013 as a GA with Nevada) and didn't accept a position with Rolo's staff at UH in 2016 and instead worked to earn his Master's degree from the UH Shidler College of Business.

Meanwhile, Timmy Chang has been building his college coaching resume for the past decade....the past 4 seasons as a SB & TE coach with Nevada so should have a good handle on the defensive schemes & personnel for the respective MWC teams....and would be a more viable candidate....though UH may not be able to meet Timmy's current pay @ Nevada.

How's his charter fishing business doing? I would guess cause of COVID this past year that his business took a hit since tourists make up the bulk of clientele for charter fishing.

Coach Graham always finds good assistants. I'm sure he'll find a good one to replace Coach Marion.

Didn't he already pass on a job offer with Graham once before? If I recall he got a major bump in pay at Nevada to stay there.

Truth. TG will have no problem finding a great replacement. I'm sure he already has his guy.

Report: Brennan Marion Targeted by Texas as Next WR Coach
Published 4 hours ago on December 30, 2021
By Karl Ludwig

Brennan Marion’s future at Pitt may be winding down after just one season. While Marion, Pitt’s wide receivers coach, was likely considered for the interim offensive coordinator position for the Peach Bowl, tight ends coach Tim Salem was ultimately named the play-caller.

Hope he does well there except when we play them. I hope the receivers have a lot of drops.

Regarding a San Diego Head Coach vacancy in December
First-year UNLV OC Brennan Marion has been a big reason for the Rebels’ dramatic transformation in Year 1 under Barry Odom. They’re 8-2 at a place that has had one winning season since 2000.

Marion’s Go-Go offense has been the spark, leading the MWC in scoring despite losing starting QB Doug Brumfield to injury in September. Marion has a redshirt freshman QB, Jayden Maiava, piloting an offense that scored 40 points in four consecutive games, a first at UNLV.

The 36-year-old’s next move might be to a Power 5 program as an offensive coordinator, but he might be able to get an interview for this job, especially if the Rebels keep winning.
