If their demands not met. In addition to racial injustice reform and safety issues, they want a part of revenues. Good luck with that. Hope the conference doesn't bow down to them.

Pretty much agree with them on everything except for revenue.

Yep, I agree mostly. I would like to see some stance on POC not just AA since there is a longer history of crimes against indigenous people in the US. The revenue will not fly with the NCAA so that's completely out.EITSwarrior wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 11:56 am Pretty much agree with them on everything except for revenue.

Re: PAC 12 players threaten to boycott
I was reading this article and it seems to focus on Rolo. Clicking on the link to the transcripts got the DFW news.

I don't think this is the kind of news he would want to be associated with in his first year. He should have waited for a unified response from the Pac-12.

Re: PAC 12 players threaten to boycott
True but I didn’t think it was as bad as the article is making it out to be. The player chose not to play for understandable health concerns but Rolo was just as right to say he shouldn’t be participating in practices or hanging around the locker room either if that’s the case. The United group thing I thought was more Rolo cautioning him that if he’s planning on sitting out in the future for issues like player pay that he can’t guarantee he can remain under scholarship in the future. Not that Rolo doesn’t support his cause but if the school and NCAA arent gonna budge and move forward, so does Rolo.shrek2 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 10:02 amI was reading this article and it seems to focus on Rolo. One step forward, two steps back for Rolovich. Texas two step.

No revenue sharing. Period. Players can play semi-pro or XFL if they want to get paid for playing a game.

Big Ten players also have a list of demands. I think theirs is a little more thought out. Don't quite agree with the last point though. That is a big assumption that if they get the virus, it was because of playing the sport or other related activities and not catching it at a party or other social event.

Yup, I agree that it's more well thought out than the Pac-12. But I think the last point about coverage for Covid related expenses is understandable. Maybe Penn State and Northwestern has smarter kids than Stanford and USC.Irse wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 7:16 am Big Ten players also have a list of demands.
