*** Official John Ursua Thread ***
John Ursua went in the 7th round to the Seattle Seahawks. Surprise that Keesean Johnson of Fresno went in the sixth round.

Re: John Ursua drafted in the 7th round
The standard answer is everyone get chance. This is better than not being drafted, etc. Yes, he could make a great impression. Don't know him personally, but I would think his maturity would be that extra bonus. Using Rich Miano as an example, I felt back then he "talked" his way through in his professional career. When everyone is as good or better, one need an ability to stand out, because everyone can play.
What does 7th round mean? IRL.
Does 7th round players even have a legit chance to get on a field?

I felt that Rich Miano made it in the NFL because of his character, heart, work ethic, and IQ both on and off the field. The same way I think of Blane Gaison.cabanalane wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:07 am The standard answer is everyone get chance. Wow, didn't know DK Metcalf was selected by the Seahawks in the second round. There'll be some competition at WR.

Re: John Ursua drafted in the 7th round
Seattle has traded back into the 7th to get him. He had a bunch of teams offering UDFA contracts, but Seattle made a move to get him. So at least he wasn’t just a complete flyer 7th why not type pick.cabanalane wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:07 am The standard answer is everyone get chance. Doug Baldwin was a UDFA, Chris Carson was a 7th, who is RB1 despite Seattle taking a RB in the 1st rd last year.

Re: John Ursua drafted in the 7th round
Ursua out with hamstring, should be back soon. Jennings is a fourth round WR pick for Seattle, hamstring as well with two weeks recovery time.

Re: John Ursua drafted in the 7th round
I hope that the Seahawks training staff can work some magic with Ursua's hamstring. Quite bothersome and lingering.
