Jason “Mayhem” Miller Internet Controversy: “I CANNOT BE STOPPED.”

December 2, 2005 Las Vegas, NV – Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Icon Sport’s top contender in the organization’s middleweight division (185-lbs), created a controversy with a two-paragraph “blog” he posted on the internet earlier today. In the blog entry (below), “Mayhem” speaks about his February 18 match-up with current Icon Middleweight Champ “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler, Hilo fighter B.J. Penn, his current star-studded training camp, and his love of Hawaii. The blog, immediately read by more than 3,000 visitors to the popular mixed martial arts site http://www.mma.tv, quickly resulted in over 90 written responses from adoring “Mayhem Monkeys” or infuriated Robbie Lawler and B.J. Penn fans. By the late afternoon mixed martial arts sites all over the internet were buzzing about “Mayhem’s” controversial comments.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller’s blog entry at http://www.mma.tv:

“I’ve been thinking…and Robbie Lawler, I'm going to choke you unconscious. I have to. It's what I do…it's my destiny. Please don't tap. It makes for so much more of a heroic picture for you to go out on your shield. The Hawaiian Fans need this, and I'm going to bring the belt straight back to the rock. BJ Penn sold out and went back to the UFC instead of loving the Hawaiian fans. And he has Hawaiian blood running through his veins. I am 100% Honkey, but I have a passion for the island that no one else that sunburns has. I love the beach, the clubs and the people. From the giant Samoans to the tiny Viet-fobs, I have never been so loved and so hated so much in my life.
I know everyone thinks that Robbie is too strong for me. I know that only the “Mayhem Monkeys” know in their hearts that I cannot be stopped. I will never quit. The fight won't be stopped "for a cut". I hope Robbie has his mom on speed dial…even though he is my friend outside of the ring, and he'll be the first victim to play my Xbox 360. With a training camp like mine: (OC-name-drop-style coming up) Rampage Jackson, Randy Couture, Dan Henderson, Jay Hieron, Forrest Griffin, Tommy Vietnammy, Art Santore, and Mike flippin Pyle, I CANNOT BE STOPPED. Especially with the monkeys of the world right behind me.”

Icon Sport will hold a pre-fight press conference for the February 18 match-up between Lawler and Miller on Friday, December 9. Both fighters will be on-hand for this media event. Media representatives and journalists can look for a detailed press release about this press conference on December 5.

Icon Sport, “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler Agree to Six-Digit, Five-Fight Contract;
Lawler Versus Mayhem Now Official.

November 30, 2005 Honolulu, HI – Icon Sport, the new face of Super Brawl, yesterday signed its current middleweight world champion “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler to a five-fight deal that will keep him competing in the organization’s Hawaii events throughout 2006. Lawler now joins Jason “Mayhem” Miller in receiving one of the two largest guaranteed contracts ever awarded by Icon Sport and its former incarnation, Super Brawl. Both fighters’ deals each near $200,000 in show, win, bonus, and attendance incentive pay.

Icon Sport President T. Jay Thompson speaking today on Lawler’s new contract:
“Without a doubt, Robbie Lawler is one of the most exciting, explosive, and entertaining fighters in mixed martial arts. A lot of people talk about him like he’s an old veteran of the M.M.A. wars, but he’s just 23 years old. He has so much more to give to the sport and to the fans. From a fan’s perspective, I can’t tell you how overjoyed and privileged I feel knowing that I get to watch him compete throughout 2006. And the Lawler versus Mayhem match…wow...I can’t wait to see those two compete for the title…”

With his signature on the Icon contract, Lawler has solidified the highly anticipated February 18 title defense match-up with submission specialist and top-contender Jason “Mayhem” Miller. “Mayhem,” a Georgia native who now resides in Las Vegas, has won over Hawaii’s vast M.M.A. fan-base with his never-say-quit style, charismatic personality, and witty post fight interviews.

“Ruthless” Robbie Lawler exploded onto the mixed martial arts scene in 2001 just a month after his 19th birthday, scoring dramatic wins by KO or TKO in seven of his first eight contests. By his 20th birthday, Lawler had already walked through three opponents in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (U.F.C). Lawler, who trains at the elite Miletich Fighting System in Iowa, quickly gained a reputation as being one of the most dangerous strikers in M.M.A.

Lawler competed seven times in the U.F.C. before challenging Icon’s then-middleweight champion, Falaniko Vitale, in the July 2005 event, Super Brawl: Icon. In dramatic fashion, Lawler rallied back against Vitale, catching the Icon champion with a crushing knockout combination in the second round. Lawler’s contest with Jason “Mayhem” Miller will be his first title defense as Icon Sport World Middleweight Champion.

The dude is a self marketing genius.....
After he get's tired of the ring beefs, he should go into pro wrestling..
Can't wait to hear him on the SportsBar, as fight night draws close..

Oh I heard there is a new challenge out to the Mayhem Monkeys to come up with some sort of Mayhem Dance...

You gotta take a picture with your Monkey Number on a piece of paper doing a pose of some sort showing your Monkeyism. Prize is Mayhem Fokai shirt, Mayhem Sinister Shirt, Signed Mask and 2 tickets to the next Icon. I might try.
