EUGENE, Ore. — Jeremiah Masoli finished last season at the Rose Bowl, already bestowed with Heisman Trophy buzz. Most agreed he had the potential to do something special at Oregon this season.

Just five months later, Masoli, a Saint Louis School alum, is a disgraced former Duck, dumped from the team for wasting a second chance in a stunning fall from grace.

The last line in the article says it all:

“He got his second chance, plain and simple,” Taylor said. “He blew it.”

Going back to his High School days, didn't he run into trouble at his school in the Bay Area, thus resulting in his transferring to St. Louis? Talk about lolo. Some guys just don't learn. Oh well, he can now go into the "real world", get a job, and spend the rest of his life downing 12-packs wondering, "what if?"

Masoli’s history of legal issues dates back to his days playing high school ball at Serra, where he was expelled from the school for robbing people at Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo. His family then sent him to Hawaii to try to help him reform. Masoli attended St. Louis School in Honolulu, a powerhouse school that helped develop his skills and get him more recognition..

seriously, i dont know more than maybe two people with any burglary charges. i dont know many 20 yeards who've done it TWICE! while in school! on a scholarship that pays the bills!
