Nai Fotu is the greatest Defensive End to come out of Kahuku period. We have always had great D Lineman but no Defensive Ends. Especially the drought that we had the past couple of years at DE no one as strong, fast and agile as Fotu ever existed at kahuku. we will surely miss him. Im not sure how ...

Jaysend: What about that DE Kahuku had last year? I forget his name, but looked like a Caucasion bro. Don't know where he went, but he looked good last year. Grinch... FYI...you're probably referring to BJ Beatty (son of former Kahuku & BYU linebacker Byron Beatty) with the long red hair. He's at U...

Controversy about 'haka' @ BYU too!

I guess that nowadays lots of people are too sensitive in this time of political correctiveness. Check it out...at least no one here is complaining about the 'haka' for the same reaons like some people are at BYU (Who?)...so far!

uhwarriors... You never cease to amaze me with the detail and accuracy of your reports. I was sitting right next to you and I already I forgot what JJ spoke about by the time I read your report. Your reports got me hooked to go down to the Na Koa lunches this season for my first time to check it out...

BTW...also spotted OT Sione Tau (Damien) who's supposed to be an Arizona Wildcat verbal commit talking story with Oregon State University DL Assistant Coach Joe Seumalo before the Kahuku / Saint Louis game. Man..that Tau is tall...about 2 inches taller than Seumalo, who I recall is about 6'4" tall h...

Just got back from the game. Another fantastic finish by Kahuku! Even though the Crusader penalties really cost them at the end, Kahuku offense also really wore down the Crusader front seven....the only time this year that a team was able to rush for well over 200 yards against the Crusaders front.....

Ikaika Alama-Francis' mom also attended the Na Koa luncheon. Yup...the Pateks had whole table of 8 to themselves.

Hey K, I agree with you on most of your points but I do have some sad news...the playbook has been opened. What you've SEEN is what you'll get. Torres is a firm believer in the double TE set, but if you noticed, his TE's are actually former OL and FB. The only true TE in the group is Vaifaou. I thi...

Love the observations again, Kapakahi. I should get you to write some stories for the paper! Kahuku is just so dominant at the line of scrimmage. It's possible they won't show any of the passing game in the semifinal. Maybe they're saving the goods for the title game. Until then, I have a hard time...

A whole bunch of very interested spectators were watching Reinebold get his guys ready. You can see that at about the 1:15 mark. Anybody familiar in the video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bX7cicZI04 Video is kinda fuzzy but I could make out a couple of the interested spectators. The one with th...

Re: Kahuku

I don't think Kahuku will have difficulty stopping St. Louis' run - even as elusive as Mamiya is, Kahuku's DL and LB crew are too smart and can easily out manuever SL's Zone blocking system. Kahuku's Ends are quick and disciplined so I think Mamiya will have to work harder to make his option or nak...

Other DL candidates?

I hoping that the UH coaches are also looking at back-up Olinemen Raphael Ieru & Daniel Johnson (both redshirt freshman) rather than burning a year for true frosh Adrian Thomas and since neither are in the 2-deep on the Oline like OG Larry Sauafea is right now.

Re: Recruits...

any high profile recuits at tonights game?...anybody? I got to my seat a little later than usual, but I noticed that there weren't alot of loncal high school prospects at the Idaho game like in the past (maybe a 15-to-20 tops)....probably since the OIA playoffs were going on the same night (McKinle...
