Re: Harsh Reality

The other harsh reality is the lack of a real stadium. But that's on the other tread. May still be able to sell the program to say, we are playing at TC Ching now. But when you are a senior, we expect to be at the new stadium. The coaches can't even lie about that. I think playing in an old rusted s...

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion

The post from kapakahi sum up lots. I'll say it this way, they are building something no one wants, or want to do, pay for, etc. Using old numbers, the yearly maintenance cost for Aloha Stadium was about $25M a year. Let's make that $30M today. Can do, no? If they build this now "billion dollar...

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion

You actually may have a good idea there. Why not build "around" the field, then replace the turf. None of this entertainment district, housing, hotels, zoning, etc., etc. Just build a stadium. Not all that fluff. To take it a step further. What's the average attendance? 6K? They can tear d...

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion

So it's been 5 years now. How does Aloha Stadium look now? Watch...any chance of them fixing it up and call it done? It's got to still be cheaper no? The Aloha Stadium seats are 1000 times more comfortable than what they have at UH. Would be neat if they could somehow fix it up. That ship sailed aw...

Re: *** Official Micah Alejado Thread ***

MA does remind me of Timmy Chang in **something** I can't find the right words. Not because he is local, or part Asian, etc. I think it has to do with his personality. MA has a personality or charm, like Timmy Chang had, as a player. Maybe that's why he gets a lot more press coverage. Did JKS get an...

If we go back to old threads, the new San Jose stadium started at the same time. From dream to completion was 5 years (something like that). It open l...

Re: 2024 Mountain West football schedules

Correct, I don't mind a soft schedule to "build confidence." This team need all the feel-good stuff. All that "see where you measure up...." kind of thing is still a L.

Kind of wish San Jose was on the schedule this year. Wanting to see the UH connection of Kenny Niumatalolo and Stuz.

Re: John Estes New SjSU Oline coach

Just wondering. His playing weight was 300lbs and 6'3" Beast with the capital B. Add Bold font too. So what happened to them shoulders? I totally get it, he had to lose a lot of weight for health reasons. Don't know, but I'm guessing not medical, but health meaning 300lbs is a lot of weight for...

So recruiting is going to be a fun job now cause they get to go on a European vacation. I'm sure that are lots of big boys over in Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia. You can't coach size, but can coach everything else. No different than UH targeting New Zealand for Ruby players.

Re: Former Rainbow Scott Swift

There was a national story about her parents. "Who are they" kind of story. Story left the Hawaii (and football) part out. All it said was the father was a graduate of University of Delaware. I'm guessing they probably are a football family, since the dad played. Some may say she was there...

Re: Coaches Sapolu and Yoro Leaving

We can look at it some someone wanted them and made them a better offer. Or they didn't feel the love with the program. We all criticized the OL and defense for their performance last season. And many of the losses were where the opponent score 30, 40, and one 50 points. Finger points back to the co...
