Re: Fresno State Jeff Tedford steps down

Kenny Niumatalolo and a bunch of our other guys just took over at SJSU. It's gonna be an interesting season. The combo of Niumatalolo and Stutzmann is going to be interesting. Imagine this, a QB running the Triple Option and then pass to WRs on RNS routes. Might be sensory overload for the average ...

Re: 2024 MWC Football Media Days

UH media did a good job in pointing out the stats/key facts for all three of them. Didn't know or remember some. We criticize some of them on this forum, and that's how it goes, but nice to be reminded that they are good people and UH does have good coaches and players.

Re: 2016 Presidential Election

Pundits are saying that Biden was overcoached. Too much statistics to memorize. Cringy to watch. Biden also took Trump's bait and talked with Trump about golf. Zero fact checking done in real time as Trump got away with everything, including the kitchen sink. I was surprised by the golf discussion....

Re: 3 players awaiting NCAA waiver approval to play this season

When Junior Lopati got 7 years(?) that was rare as a shooting star. Seems like everyone is getting an exception now. Kind of wish Bryant Moniz could get another year. He was out pretty much when the season just started, and UH went downhill since. Imagine if he had one more year. That year, Moniz wa...

Re: *** Official Brayden Schager Thread ***

By him being there is also a good promotion for UH football. I'm sure he will meet a lot of talented kids, maybe from the Southeast, or don't know where Hawaii is. Maybe they would then later want to play for UH. We talk about kids wanting to play close to home. Maybe some kids want to play "aw...

Re: Utah State coach on leave

If this was September, yes, maybe. There's plenty of time to hire someone, or promote someone without missing a beat. I think this is it for T. Chang. Contract negotiation-extension is after this year, correct? I expect UH to have a winning season, so their coach in or out should not matter. UH get ...

Re: 2016 Presidential Election

If the Biden loses, it's purely the fault of the Democrat party. They had the time to gather select another candidate. Anyone. Nothing against Joe Biden. Nice guy, great story. His time is just up. Months ago, when Joe Biden was on the Howard Stern show, I had a feeling Democrats are in trouble. Vic...

Re: Caitlin Clark Phenomenon

She looks strong, legit big girl. But if I was GM, I would take an athletic 6"8 WNBA player vs someone that's over 7 feet tall. China wants to showcase their 7 footers. I get it. But there's got to be more upper 6 feet something players than 7 feet tall players, men and women. By being "sm...

Re: QB of the future

There's room for 2 more. UH had 6 last year. True statement about Alejado as a recruit. Everybody get chance, but there's also a chance he may never see any playing time. Jonah Chong followed Coach Chang to Nevada. Then follow him to UH. He hit the TP, not sure where he will be at. HC's job is hard,...

Re: QB of the future

This part of the story wasn't re-posted. "Alejado has bonded with UH’s other three quarterbacks, particularly starter Brayden Schager, whom he refers to as a “big brother.” In December, Schager entered the transfer portal and, after a few days, changed his mind and returned to the Warriors for ...

The "phenomenon" feels a bit like Linsanity to me. I hope the flame burns longer.

Re: QB of the future

May the best QB win this year and in the future. I don't play local favorites over non-local, or vice versa. You don't, we don't, but I think the general public in Hawaii does. I don't think we (fans) felt that way when Chang was playing. I think this feeling started with the success of Marcus Mari...

Re: QB of the future

I always thought the bounce was to help load this movements or throws. Sort of like a boxer was to swing. Maybe that's what Ching needed to sling that bullet. On the flip side, true. No one does the bounce anymore. Like Bruce Lee once said, in fighting, when bounce, you put yourself in mid motion, a...

Re: QB of the future

If I had to guess between the two, I would say JKS, because as mentioned, size. Who can take a 300lb DE sack better. Tough kid or not, 300lbs will hurt. I like JKS too because he got the "Timmy Chang bounce" just before he gets set to throw the ball. I've not see that since Chang. Other RN...
