Re: Official 2023 UH vs New Mexico St pregame thread

Nice W-L stats. Felt like UH play New Mexico State every year. Didn't know the gaps were that big in-between.

Re: Don't hate the messenger.....but what if?

Everything in HawaII is slow to build, except high price condos in Kakaako. How come? They get approved and built almost overnight. Not greasing the wheel? Not handing out enough red envelopes? Forget to take the guys to FeMeNu?

Re: Don't hate the messenger.....but what if?

So from the AD's perspective, when setting the schedule, UH would be in Year 4 of the Todd Graham era. The team would be awesome with BS13, ready to take on Oregon Ducks.

So which teams you think did Craig Angelos set for Timmy Chang to play in 2026 and 2027?

Re: Hawaii vs. Oregon Game Thread

"Rolo Style" of RNS was sort of RPO, no?

Re: Hawaii QB1 &2 (1999-Current)

I don't think Morris is here to learn the RNS. He is just a football player that loves football, being on a team. If his Navy commission was in San Diego, would he try to play for San Diego State? With the permission of his commanders. Somehow, I wish UH would line up with a wishbone offense with Mo...

Re: Hawaii vs. Oregon Game Thread

Why is everyone surprised about the out come? We were expected to lose by 38 points. 100% true. 1+1 = 2 no matter if that was taught at KCC or Stanford. The team believe they can win, everything single game. Otherwise, no sense in playing or even be on the team. Fans believe that too. We saw how Ch...

Re: Hawaii vs. Oregon Game Thread

To give Morris a shot, would UH need to fire Timmy Chang? And bring in Ken Niumatalolo? Kenny is not busy. Morris is a consider a "triple threat" QB. From the highlights, it looks like the ball zips out faster than BS13, and Morris got better legs.

Re: Don't hate the messenger.....but what if?

Has there been a recent example of a school's football program going from D1 to D2? And what were some of the situations that caused this change? Burns...that goes back. More of an Ariyoshi guy. "Quiet but effective." Ed "Too-Tall" Jones (Dallas Cowboys 1970s) was one of the best...

Why are there more same jersey number now?

During the old days, seems like everyone have their own number on their jersey. Ok, there were a few exceptions, but "the other same number player" is often not playing. Way down on the depth chart. Looking at the current roster, seems like there are many same number players. I think I can...

Re: Don't hate the messenger.....but what if?

Really need a stadium and really need people to show up to the games. I know we need. But do we really? Meaning so they expanded TC Ching field to 15,000. Add the jumbo tron from Aloha Stadium. (BTW, what's the name now, still TC Ching "Field" or "Stadium?" Last week's game. Fir...

Re: Schager Year 3

RNS in the end, will always give the QB (and WR) good stat numbers. Every NFL scout is looking for the hidden gem, and the stats will give you that chance. Step one in analytics is sorting that spreadsheet data from top to bottom. Player's names on the top numbers will get a look. Smart decision to ...

Re: Don't hate the messenger.....but what if?

I always felt Hawaii belongs to the PAC, back when it was PAC 8, just because of the name. I may be wrong, but there was no MWC back then. WAC or PAC, no? To play out the "what it?" Hawaii should be "Independent." We get better control. Logistically, no body wants to play Hawaii,...

Does he still have a red shirt to burn? Or still early enough to claim a medical exemption?

Just wondering what you guys think? Who is a "better" football player? Andrew's career is not done yet, so hard to compare.

Zeno is bigger. But seems like Andrew is making more plays. At least his name is being mentioned more in the TV broadcasts. Last year and this year.
